(Y/N) pov

These walks around the museum are so boring that sometimes I feel like gauging my eyes out. The same thing over and over again. 'Safety precausions need to be taken and assessed, and you need make sure everything is running smoothly,' and blah blah blah.

It's not like anything is going to fly on its own the second I turn my head around, is it?

Ground floor was my favourite place to walk around. The café and giftshop were on this floor, and it was the last place I needed to 'assess' before my shift finished.

"Hi Steven," I greeted the curly haired man as I wandered into the giftshop.

"Oh, hi there (Y/N). You alright?" He asked, with a slightly flustered look on his face.

"Yeah, just about to finish up my shift." I replied.

"Oh, that's nice. I don't finish until later on today, and flipping hell, my legs are going to be sore when I do," He chuckled slightly.

"Donna put you on the night shift again?" I asked, leaning over the counter.

"Yeah, but I don't mind. It's rather nice here at night. Oddly calming."

He wasn't wrong there. The museum at night just has such a certain vibe, it's almost indescribable.

"Yeah, I know what you mean."

"Glad someone does," Steven replied, locking eyes with me.

"Right, well I should get going. Busy weekend ahead." I cleared my throat, trying to piece together any dignity I had left whilst picking up a box I needed to take to the front desk.

"Yeah, right, I'll see you Monday then. Laters gators."

"Bye, Steven." I smiled, and began to walk to the front desk to clock out.

How can someone be so awkward yet so adorable?

"You mortals equally disgust and confuse me. I sincerly doubt it would be that difficult of a decision to pick an outfit?" Seth spoke, tired of my antics.

"When you get asked out on a date to the apparent 'best steak in town' how about you try deciding what to wear with barely any options." I replied, throwing another dress over my shoulder as it casscaded onto the floor.

"We have more tensing matters to attend to, (Y/N)."

"This is a tensing matter! I hate everything in my wardrobe, and cannot be arsed going shopping just for an outfit I'm only ever going to wear once," I explained, rooting through another pile of skirts, trousers and dresses.

"You know what, the next thing I find that I remotely don't despise, I'm wearing." I decided, picking up a short silky black dress with spaghetti straps. "This isn't half bad, you know. I think I'm gonna go for this one.''

"Finally." Seth uttered.
