song: sidney bird - cigarettes silhouette

Saturday mornings were supposed to be beautiful, calm, and blissful. Mine was just bad.

I'm not too hungover, just as I thought I'd be, but my mind is still a complete disaster. Millions of thoughts are running through my head, but most importantly, I remember every little detail from my time with Kaden.

I asked him to kiss me, just like on our first night... Except this time, he actually listened to me.

I don't even know how it happened. We weren't trying to get that close. I just know he touched me and I felt my heart explode. I'm not sure how to feel about it... There's no denying he's attractive, but he is my friend and it can't go further than that.

And how am I supposed to act around him now? Are we really just friends? Friends with benefits? Not even God knows. What worries me is that our friends, especially Kai, might find out. I'm not a hater of relationships within a friend group, but things can take a big turn if something goes wrong. I shouldn't even be thinking about this. It's not going to happen again.

After our encounter in the restroom, I found Lilly and Mason having fun together, so I joined them, and barely looked at Kaden. However, I did feel his eyes on me for the rest of the night.

I really have to pretend like it never happened.

On my today's list of to-do's, is last minute shopping with Lilly, because I need to find some cute clothes, perfect for late nights on beaches in Miami.

In the end we decided to leave on Sunday night, instead of on Monday morning. This gives me barely any time to pack, but I'll manage. I've already done my makeup, but I'm too lazy to do my hair, so I just did a quick half up-half down kind of thing.

"I'm literally so hangover," Lilly groans as she continues walking down the clothing isle.

She is known for being the life of the party. She always gets the energy going, but that's how she ends up on the floor, drunk. "How much did you drink?" I ask her, taking out a pink crop top.

"I have no idea, Lucas kept bringing new drinks every ten minutes or so," she laughs and then as realization hits her, she bangs her head on the wall. "I'm never trusting this guy again."

I haven't spent much time with Lucas so far, but he does seem quite crazy.

"Actually, where were you before joining me and Mason? I was searching for you," she chirps in and looks at me sarcastically annoyed. It's moments like this, that I'm scared of. What do I say? Do I just lie?

Oh yeah, I was making out with my brother's best friend, which is totally casual and happened out of nowhere.

No.

"I was looking for you too, but I'm assuming we must have missed each other." I smile to her from across the isle, but I know the look she's giving me - she's suspicious. Play. It. Cool.

I spot her across the aisle and offer a smile, though I know she's eyeing me suspiciously. Time to keep my cool.

"Nora, look at this!" Lilly exclaims, holding up a pastel pink body-con dress with a daring cutout. Intrigued, I examine it closely.

Encouraged by Lilly's enthusiasm, she hands me the dress and leads me towards the changing rooms. I roll my eyes playfully as I slip behind the curtain, shedding my yellow skirt and slipping into the pink dress. As I adjust it, I can't help but admire how flattering it is. The cutout in the middle is bold, nearly reaching my belly button.
