song: the neighbourhood - cherry flavoured

My head is a mess. Just thirty minutes ago I was getting my frustration out on a punching bag with Elias watching me and then I had a crying Nora in my arms.
When she called me earlier, I was expecting, "This date was amazing and he is actually a gentleman!" or something like that, but no, this fucker had the audacity to make her uncomfortable and possibly hurt her emotionally.
When she ended the call, I felt so fucking enraged. I knew he wasn't a good person, but it's not like I could stop Nora from going out with him. She can make her own decisions.
When I brought her to my apartment I didn't know how to comfort her. I'm not good at that, but I think I did okay. I didn't even know she could get me so worried.
I'm currently making tea as she's snuggling in a blanket on my couch.
"Yo man you kind of forgot to tell me where you went." Elias's voice startled me. Yeah fuck, I actually did forget I left him alone in the basement without telling him where I was going.
I turn around to face him, holding two tea cups in my hands.
"Is that for me?" He asks but I just stand there frozen because this is awkward. I forgot to include him. He can sense I'm looking past him so he throws a glance over his shoulder and spots her. However I don't think he recognizes who it actually is.
He leans closer to me and attempts to get out a whisper. "Wait is this like a hook-up or something? I'm out of here." I stop him before he can go anywhere.
"It's Nora, you dumbass." I tell him as I spin him around, forcing him to look at her again.
I walk towards the couch only to catch Nora half asleep. I place the cups onto the glass coffee table and fix her blanket, because it has slipped down.
She looks up, responding to my touch. "Did I doze off?" She finds my gaze and rubs her eyes.
I chuckle at her because she rubbed her mascara under her eyes. And I think she caught on pretty fast.
"Oh shit, I probably look like a raccoon." She says while covering her face with her small hands. Yeah good job Kings.
"You look fine, don't worry." I tell her and she peeks at me through her fingers. "I made you tea." I say, handing her the white porcelain cup.
She thanks me and I head back to the kitchen to make Elias some tea too.
I start boiling some water and then I feel my friend slap my ass. Oh hell no buddy.
"There's something cute going on." Elias speaks in a whisper. Cute or not, he's not teasing me.
I turn around and push him towards the kitchen island. Neither of us can keep a straight face, because that's just how Elias is - he loves touching everyone and anything coming his way. If anyone other than him would do that though, they'd be dead.
I force him around, lowering his chest on the island and grabbing his neck. "Don't touch my ass." I whisper with a grin on my face.
