Chapter 19

(Gemma's POV)

I get bored and start reaching out for everyone's minds, making some freak out and just sensing other's emotions. I get to Sally and sense arrogance, with a tinge of anger. I sense some other things and accidently say, "I wish I hadn't gone in your mind!" and she says, "What did you say?" I reply with "I wasn't talking to you!" "Excuse me? I don't tolerate disrespectful children!" "We are the same age!" "How do you know?" "Uhh..."

I wake up and I'm glad that didn't actually happen. I guess I fell asleep while reading people.

We get to our destination and these robots start to come towards us. We split up, so that we can gain more info about the place while fighting these robots. The robots crowd me and I'm not even scared. I'm immune to anything cold! They shoot ice shards at me and they shatter as they hit my skin. I laugh, but my face quickly changes to regret as their weapons switch to extra-large flame throwers. The flamethrowers start making a noise that is increasing in volume by the second. I try to move, but I fall over and the flamethrowers shoot their fire. I'm dead, I'm dead...but I don't feel hot. I look at the robots and an albino wolf in a black hoodie and semi-ripped blue jeans. He has a dome of...fire-proof glass I guess, around us. He turns around and says, "I'm Kun Qi, but you can call me Kai."
