I don't blame you if you want to bury me in your memory

I saw a tuft of blue hair peek out of the crack of the hall door. i sighed, a huge metophorical weight was lifted off of my chest as i thought it was a teacher or worse the principal. i looked back at my drink, throwing my head back once more, this time to take a longer, more full portion of the drink. as i felt sal's eyes scan me, i looked into the bag grabbing the rainbow belts and opening them while turning towards sally to stare into his eyes with an almost scowl. he didn't seem to acknowledge that i didn't want him there and kept staring at me with googly looking eyes. i took a belt out of the overly coloured and decorated packet and ripped a piece off, gently chewing it and swallowing it.

i looked up, once again my eyes met with sally's. this time the door was fully open and sal was standing just out of the door timidly. my face adopted a blank yet gentle stare as i went back down to take another bite out of the sweet in front of me. i heard the gentle tapping of shoes on concrete slowly approaching me. the sound eventually turned into the crunching of grass under feet. i looked up and saw sally face approaching me slowly and hesitantly. i paid no mind to it and finished the belt, reaching into the packet for more. eventually i saw the freak's shoes close by my knees. i looked up at him unamused. he cleared his throat and started patting his chest.

"I'm sorry for bumping into you earlier i didn't mean it really.." he uttered out hesitantly

"..It's fine i guess" i spat out after sometime of thinking of a suitible response. i could see his eyes slightly crinkled indicating that he was smiling under his prosthetic.

"Thank you travis" he said in a appreicitive and cheery tone.

"It's nothing really you idiot." i rolled my eyes, secretly feeling a surge of happiness from his words.

"Uhhh.. could i sit next to you?" he asked timidly, i patted the ground next to me as a response

He plopped down next to me. i continued to eat the sour belts as he looked over at the packet reading the text on the back. he started telling me how unhealthy they we're after as i looked at him blankly, still shoveling them into my mouth as he continued lecturing me about healthy foods and on why i shouldn't eat so much sweet things and that i should balance out my diet. i shut him up by handing him one of my energy drinks, this one was berry flavoured, the only berry flavoured one. he stared down at it and told me he couldn't drink it without taking off his prosthetic. i looked away, finishing my sweets and grabbed another drink from the bag as he took off the piece of metal and thin plastic on his face off to chug the drink down. he quickly put it back on thanking me for looking away.

To my suprise we talked for hours. in fact we missed our last class because we had lost track of time and we only realised when the janitor came out and told us it was the end of the day. me and sal scrambled up and ran to our lockers, quickly gathering our stuff and shoving it into our bags. sal laughed in amusement as i scrambled around in panic trying to desperately fit my books into my bag. he shuffled over and guided my hands to help me fit them in. i felt blush creep onto my face after i thanked him and zipped up my bag. sal did the same and we walked out of the front doors talking about nothing particular or relavent. eventually when we got to the gate, we parted ways as sal went on the other side of the road to walk with his friends and i walked home alone. i finally got to my door after watching sal and his friends go into the apartment building across the road a few seconds ago. i twisted open the handle and walked in, greeted by my cat purring as she gently wrapped herself around my legs by walking around me. i quickly pet her and walked into my room carrying her. i stared at my jornual that i hadn't used in months so i decided to write in it again.
