The four had quickly made it down to the beach, the ships still far as they waited for them to come into shouting distance. Legolas stood closely to Sîrion, shoulder to shoulder and pinkies intertwined. It was a simple, unexpected gesture, but it made Sîrion's heart soar. He was smiling much too widely, probably appearing ridiculous and he looked down at Legolas, finding the Prince staring away. The tips of his ears were bright red and Sîrion imagined his matched. Aragorn and Gimli made idle chatter, talking about what they expected in the upcoming battle. The ships were close now and Sîrion took a step away, feeling the loss of the pinkie wrapped around his own strangely saddening. He readied his bow though he doubted he would need to use it since Legolas had his own prepared. Aragorn's voice rang loud and clear.

"You may go no further."

What could be assumed as the ship's captain stood, walking to the rail.

"You will not enter Gondor," Aragorn continued.

"Who are you to deny us passage?" The Captain yelled, a smirk on his face.

"Legolas, fire a warning shot past the boson's ear," Aragorn requested, and the Prince quickly obliged.

"Mind you aim," Gimli stated, an odd thing to say to the elf known for his accuracy in archery.

Sîrion didn't have much time to question it as Legolas notched an arrow and took aim. He let it fly, only for it hit a mercenary standing next to the Captain directly in the chest, killing him. Legolas glared down at Gimli and Sîrion stifled a laugh. Clearly, the dwarf had interfered.

"Oh!" the dwarf put his hand to his mouth, "That's it, right, we warned you! Prepare to be boarded!"

The crew laughed but the small smile on Sîrion's face wasn't wiped away.

"Boarded, by you and whose army?" A mercenary yelled.

"This army," and as Aragorn finished his words, the green ghostly army appeared, barreling towards the ships.

It felt very odd to see figures of men run through himself, Sîrion's spine running with chills and shivers as the army progressed across the water. They merely sat back and watched as the men were killed and thrown into the water very quickly. It was an unsettling sight.

"Well," Gimli began, "I am glad they are on our side."

Sîrion nodded his agreement, strapping his bow to his back. A single ghost ran back across the water, a rowboat tied to a rope he held. The soft green glow dispersed as most of the army disappeared under the decks of the ships, leaving the one in front relatively untouched save for a couple of soldiers helping prepare to continue sailing. The ghost leading the rowboat made it over and got in the middle rower position. A rope ladder was thrown over the edge of the leading ship as the group got in, Aragorn and Gimli sat in the front and Legolas and Sîrion sat in the back. The ghost rowed them back impressively fast and soon the group was climbing up onto the ship. Aragorn took his place at the helm, Gimli sat on a stool and began to sharpen his axe. As the ship pushed forward and the wind caught its sails, a peaceful energy surrounded the ship. Sîrion took a deep breath, willing himself to loosen up. They were safe for the time being. Legolas made his way to the bow of the ship, leaning against the railing as he looked at the path ahead. The listener was tempted to follow but he wished to speak with Aragorn first. He walked up the wooden steps, fiddling with his sleeve.

"I expect we should arrive in two days as long as the wind continues to favour us," Aragorn said, hand gently gripping the wheel and correcting the course when needed.

"That is good to hear," Sîrion licked his bottom lip, looking down at the deck, "Will Rohan likely be there before us?"

Aragorn nodded and silence settled between them. Sîrion was hoping to get advice from the ranger, he just had no idea how to ask. He knew the elves had special courting rituals, ones he didn't bother to learn about during his time in Rivendell whatsoever. He wanted to give Legolas some normalcy in this courtship... he understood the way they had gone about beginning things was not the 'proper' way. The listener was pulled out of his thoughts.
