When The Past Catches Up (Rivamika)

Missing

Okay guys, I will not be updating like the dialogue things since, it takes too much time to completely fix them. I know these chapters are a little more sucky then other chapters.

~Levi's pov~

Weeks went by, me and Mikasa started going out. To my surprise Eren was completely fine with it all. He was happy, but Jake he hates me with passion. Whenever he saw me he would immediately find Mikasa and keep us away from each other at all cost. Despite his efforts, Mikasa or I would sneak out to either one of ours rooms by climbing in and out of our windows at night. We would cuddle with each other or we go out to a field and stare into the night sky. Tonight was different though, she never came. I went over to her room hoping she was just really tired and was sleeping. I searched everywhere in the building. Jake must have heard me because he was behind me with an angry look. "Jake have you seen Mikasa anywhere, I can't find her." I said looking up at the giant man.

"No, I was hoping you would know." He looked down at me eyes blazing. Then Eren and Armin came sprawling in. 

"We can't find Mikasa anywhere!" Both of their eyes were filled with fear. 

"Neither can I." Jake and I said in unison. Sasha, Kirsta, and Hanji came in saying the same thing. I set up an emergency search to find her that night, but of course Erwin order us all to wait till the morning to look for her. Pissed off I went back to my room and pondered all the locations she would likely be.

After about five minutes I couldn't take it anymore. I grabbed my shoes and snuck out. "Of course it's snowing." I hissed and went towards the places we hung out. Not at the tree or the fields. The snow was now picking up to a storm. I went towards town hoping she was drunk and had passed out in a gutter or alley. The temperature must have dropped about 30 degrees from when I left. I couldn't feel anything which meant Mikasa was probably in worse condition then I was. The snow was know up to my knees. My eyes began to shut, next thing I know I was face down in the snow too cold to move.

I woke up the next morning wrapped in many layers of blankets wearing only my boxers. I pushed off the blankets regretting my decision quickly. "Fuck it's freezing." I said wrapping myself in them and got up. I walked down the stairs and went where there was light. 

"Mika he's awake!" A little five or six year old called as I walked into the kitchen. He looked a lot like Jake. 

"Make him something to eat then!" A young female voice replied back, who I guessed was Mika. The little boy sighed and got a bowl and poured cereal into it. 

"Sit down!" I was taken back by his sternness. 

"Brat" I hissed under my breath. I sat down and took the bowl of cereal. The boy pulled out a pencil and a piece of paper. He looked at me then began doing something on the paper. As I ate he kept looking at me then to the paper.

About two minutes late, he finished he handed me the paper. My eyes widened, he had drawn a picture of me and Mikasa together on a bench holding hands. "She's my dad's sister. I thought you two would look good to together. I meet her once on Mika's twelfth birthday. She and my mom got into argument that night. Aunty left without saying goodbye." He looked down sadly.

"I'm her boyfriend." I said realizing I never had referred myself as her boyfriend. 

"Where is she?" I looked down and told him that she was missing. 

"Why guys so quiet?" I girl about twelve came down the stairs with my clothes. "You must be Mika." I said nearly making her faint. "Y-you know my name." She looked at me trying to look cute. Great another fangirl. 

"Your brother told me, now gimme my cloths brat." She handed me my clothes quickly looking at me with a small blush. 

"Shut up Joseph!" I heard Mika yell before I got to the bathroom to change.

I came back down see a woman about Jake's age in the kitchen and Joseph and Mika sitting quietly at the table. When they saw me there eyes widened and hand gestured for me to hide. I raised an eyebrow. They pointed at the woman and made a face then to me and slammed their fists into their hands. I figured it was their mother and was in a bad mood and I would get hell if she saw me. I nodded and hide in the room where I woke up in.

I heard the door open soon after. I looked out to see the woman searching for something. "Where are you Mikasa?" She called looking around, "I know you're here in my house. I told you to stay away from my children didn't I?" She growled softly and stomped around the room.

"Mom she isn't here." I heard Mika's sweet innocent voice speak up and walk into the room. 

"Then who is!" She pulled Mika's hair hard making her whimper in pain. "I know you were trouble since the day Jake named you after that bitch. You even look like her, maybe I should treat you like I treat her!" She smacked Mika hard across the face leaving a red mark. 

"Stop it!" Joseph tried stopping his mother only to be pushed back and slammed into a dresser head first. He laid there still. 

"You two can stay in here and think about what you have done!" She slammed and locked the door. I came out of my hiding place and rushed over to Joseph. I checked his head making sure it wasn't seriously damaged. Blood was coming out of his head.

"Mika find me something to wrap his head with." I ordered quietly, so her mother wouldn't hear me. 

"Will this do?" She handed me a roll of medical bandages.

 "Yes, this is perfect actually." I wrapped his wound up hoping the bleeding would stop. 

"We need to leave before she comes back here." I said looking at MIka who was sitting on her knees next to me. She nodded and slowly stood up. I picked up Joseph and walked over to the window. "Can you make the jump?" I asked opening the window.

 "Yes, what about Joseph he-"

"I'll carry him." I responded quickly. She nodded and jumped into the snow without problem. 

"Please hurry, it's cold." She called. I swung my legs out the window holding Zach and dropped. I landed on my feet hard. "Fuck." I hissed. "C'mon before she notices we're gone."

I ran full speed to HQ. To my surprise Mika kept up just fine. I bursted into the mess hall. 

"Hanji! I need your crazy medical skills!" I yelled and laid Joseph down on the table.

"What the hell happened!" Jake nearly killed me when he saw I had Mika and Joseph.

"Dad it's not his fault, mom did this." Mika explained everything while I helped Hanji with Joseph.

"Will Levi my respect for you just went up a little." Jake said when Mika was finished. "Now all you have to do is find Mikasa still breathing and bring her back." He added. 

"That's going to be awhile Jake, the snow-" Erwin tried to talk.

"Mikasa might not have until the snow clears she could be dying this very instant! It was stupid that Levi went out in the middle of it, but we won't be that reckless we will keep close eye on the forecast!" Erwin was about to protest but I spoke before he could. 

"Erwin if we lose Mikasa that can mean life or death for humanity, not only because she's one of the bests but Jake, Eren, Armin, Sasha, Jean almost all of us would be heartbroken including me."
