Blossomtail drew in an uneasy breath and began coughing. CanineClan survived well underneath Frostedstar's leadership. Brushjaw was the new deputy, and Frostedstar's kits had become warriors: Redpaw was now called Redbrush, Lightpaw was called Lightsnow, and Shadepaw... well, he was called Shadefoot, for his red paws.
Tigermask gave birth to four kittens, and one was now her apprentice. Acornpaw learned fast, and she never seemed to let go of her energy! Frostedstar was Grasspaw's mentor, Brushjaw mentored Snowpaw, and Greenflight now mentored Wrenpaw.
Wildstorm moved to the nursery, expecting Greenflight's kits. She claimed that she never got any sleep nowadays. Blossomtail purred thinking of the fun times she had.
Frostedstar and Brushjaw now crowded around the medicine den. Blossomtail had sent Acornpaw to fetch them, as her time was near.
"Are... are you leaving us already?" Frostedstar asked hesitantly. "Can't you ask StarClan to give you more time? Acronpaw isn't even close to earning her medicine cat name yet..."
"She will soon," Blossomtail purred at her apprentice. Acornpaw smiled.
Frostedstar sighed. "Will you visit?" he asked.
Blossomtail rolls her eyes. "Maybe to you, but mostly Acornpaw," she replies. "She's going to need me..." She paused, sensing her sister.
"Hurry up!" Frogpaw's voice echoes in her ear. "You're taking too long!"
"Hold on, Frogpaw," she murmured. "I'm coming... Frostedstar, lead the clan to greatness. Brushjaw, help him out. Acornpaw... i'll be seeing you. You'll be a great... medicine cat."
She took a deep breath, then nothing. She stepped from her body, listening to the cries Frostedstar, Brushjaw, and Acornpaw made. Frogpaw was waiting for her.
"Come on!" she meowed. "We're going to have so much fun!"
She looked back at her friends. "Don't worry about me, guys," she meowed, knowing perfectly well they could not hear. "I'll always be with you."
