"just us in this moment"

I stepped my foot out of the vehicle that had escorted me to my mothers new palace. To say it was a castle, it was fairly modern. It had fairy lights hung around its perimeter, with them and the summer skies reflecting on the moat of the castle. Delicately placed plant pots brimmed the building, adding a fresh feel to the place. Several expensive vehicles lined up against the side of the building and the bridge had various locks on it from couples that could come place them on the bridge once they had been married. I found it cute.

To say this was my mothers, I can't lie I felt very jealous I would never get to own this.

My sister and Calum stepped out of their limousine, Daisy taking in our gorgeous surroundings and Calum looking like a lost child looking for something. I wondered what he was looking for.

"There you are, pretty girl."

He said in a cocky and playful voice. He rested one hand around my lower back and and placed one on my head, therefore strengthening the hug. I felt his heart beating through my chest, his hands were comforting. I know i shouldn't think this, but I wanted to stay hugging him forever. Just us in this moment. The world freezing around us. Would I want something more than a hug? Yes. Would a kiss solve all my problems right now? Absolutely. Can I have one from a man who was betrothed to my sister?

No way.

I stepped away from the hug, allowing our hands to now be holding as I intertwined my fingers with his. This felt like our moment, nothing could stop us. Our parents knew we'd always been extremely close friends, so seeing us in this state would be nothing new. Thankfully.

All eyes turned as we watched my mother and father emerge from their car, carefully being helped down the steps and into the lowered courtyard by the security guards. They thanked them and tipped the driver, I'm guessing a generous amount knowing them. Always going over the top because they had money.

Me, Daisy and Calum made our way over to mum and dad, and followed them down the courtyard and across the bridge. As we entered our new home, an array of gasps and claps rose from the crowd. I couldn't help but be shocked too. This place was extremely pretty. This was something else. I glanced over and saw Calum taking the sights in, and looking for his best friend, who I believed was Michael. I'd never really spoken to him before, but he seemed like a great kid and him and Calum got on really well together. And as the coronation was an event that brought people from all over the world in, there's a large chance he would be here.

A kid with bright red hair walked in, and I locked eyes with him. It wasn't hard to miss him- or should I say Michael. I can't lie, he was extremely good looking. His eyes, the way his hair fell when he wasn't wearing a hat, the way he scrubbed up very well. I couldn't take my eyes off him.

"Anna?"

I quickly stumbled out of my intense gaze at Michael and got myself back into reality. Daisy was stood next to me, nudging me as to who I was staring at. Shit. Was it really that obvious?

"Who've you got your eye on, little one?" Daisy said teasingly.

"You know I hate that name. And I wasn't looking at anyone, anyone in particular that is."

"You sure you weren't staring at Michael? You were practically drooling over the kid."

"Michael? No. Never, I was just..." Come on Anna think, "I was trying to find Calum for him."

"Two birds with one stone I see?"

"What?" And with that Daisy had gone, and Michael found himself with Calum.

Hey! Sorry this chapter is so long, I just wanted to get a lot of information in and sort of set the scene, hopefully I did that :)

Anyways here's a character list, for introduced characters and upcoming ones! I feel like this would make it easier to follow along! There will be change in point of views, so we may go from Anna one minute someone like Calum the next! I'll let you know when I do that :D

Anna- Main character, last three chapters have been from her POV.
