Lea's POV
"Hi! My name's Lea, got that memorized? What's your name?" I asked the woman whom I ran into or was it she ran into me? "My name's Stray. Nice to meet you." She holds out her hand for me to shake. I respond to her sincerity by grabbing her hand in mine. Such a small hand she has. I never really knew women's hands could be so delicate and fragile. Afterall, I didn't really converse with the opposite gender. I grew up with a childhood friend of mine, Isa. Isa always thought he was better than me. He put me down a lot of the times through his teasingly matter, but I looked passed it because he was my best friend. Although, if should a best friend put you down in any kind of way, you know they're not really your friend at all. "So why in a hurry? You got big plans this afternoon? Could it be...a date?" Stray flushed red on the cheek. Was it a date afterall? Now I feel bad for embarrassing her. "No, it's not a date. I just moved here today. I'm searching for an extra body to help in unpacking my luggages. I just got excited when I first stepped outside. It's nothing, I was just taking it all in." She seemed to feel pretty pumped about moving. "Is this your first time moving to an unknown area?" I asked her. Stray nodded. Her gaze fell to the ground of the walkway. "Well if you don't mind, I'd be delighted to be the body you need to help you get started. That is of course, if you agree to be my friend." At that moment, I thought I heard Isa's voice throughout the back of my head. 'What is it with you and picking up stray puppies?' Isa once asked me. 'I want everyone I meet to remember me. Inside people's memories, I can live forever.' That was my main purpose in life. Now, do I still have one? Stray lifted her gaze from the ground, "Of course I'll be your friend! We already know each other's names, what more do we need to know?" Stray was right. There was a smile that had been planted upon her face. I couldn't help, but do the same.
