Stray's POV
Ah, last night was so refreshing. It's been awhile since I had hung out with someone. So much can happen in one day and it's only my second as of right now. I kind of want to see Lea again, but I know he'll soon appear. I wake up and rise off my bed. I walk, leaving my room, to go to the bathroom. I turn the water on in the sink and bend down to wash my face. I usually do two rinses of cold water against my skin. I stand back up and turn the knob. I get a towel to dry my face along with my hands. I go back in my room and glance at the clock, that was sitting on my bedside table. It read 9:30am. Not too bad. I didn't want to sleep in today, not with all I needed to do for the day. For starters, I head to the kitchen, still in my night gown, and get ready to make breakfast. What should I make? I could make eggs and sausages with biscuits or pancakes. Wait. Pancakes? I dislike pancakes. Why would I ever come up with an idea like that? Eggs and sausages with biscuits then. I start to prepare the fry pan on the oven and prepare the oven for baking. About 30 minutes later, I had finished cooking. I should ask my neighbor if he would like to join me for breakfast. With the idea still in my mind, I rush to my room and quickly get dressed. I decide to wear some jeans with a green camisole as my shirt. I push my hair up in a ponytail. Ah, how very 'Croft' like. Instead of house slippers, I replace them with hiking boots. Now I am fully dressed. Never mind my makeup. That'll just take an hour longer. I rush back to the living area and set the table for two. All done. Now to do the crucial part of the plan: invite the guest. I quickly walk to the door and step outside into the hall. I take a sidestep to Lea's door and begin knocking. "Hey, Lea! I was wondering..would you like to join me for breakfast? I'm afraid I made too much." No answer. No response. I try knocking and calling out again. "Hey, Lea...Lea? Are you home?" I hear a rustling movement on the other side of the door. Did I come at a bad time? Maybe I should come back later. I start walking back to my door, but then I hear Lea's door open. I turn back around and see Lea appear in his doorway. His face expression looks as if he's seen a ghost. "Are you okay?" I ask him. He stands still nonchalantly. "Lea..?" I wave my hand in front of his face. He snaps out of his wave of whatever it is he was thinking about. "Hm? What is it?" he asks. "Are you okay?" I repeat. "Yeah, I'm fine. Why? Is someone worried about me?" he smugs. I just shrug my shoulders. "I was wondering if you'd like to have breakfast with me. I'm afraid that I've gotten overwhelmed and made a bit too much." I feel tension. What if he says 'no'? How am I going to feel? Stop it, Stray. He is a friend and you are just gonna treat him like one. Nothing more. No need to be nervous. If he's busy now, I can always try again later. "Depends. What are you serving?" he just asks. Do I tell him the truth or lie and say something more appealing than just eggs and sausages with biscuits? I decide the truth. "Eggs and sausages with biscuits." His eyes lighten up. "Sure! I can eat!" he exclaims. Lea comes out of his doorway, closing the door behind him. I lead him inside through my doorway, again, closing the door behind him. I lead him towards the table and we both take a seat, with him across from me. He creates an egg and sausage biscuit sandwich, while I just eat mine separately. Lea takes a bite. "Mm, this is delicious." he says whilst chewing. I smile and nod. "Thank you. I tried my best. I usually don't cook." I really don't. I'm too lazy of a person. I literally cannot eat until someone makes it for me, but if I'm feeling up to the challenge, I will. "You didn't just try your best. You gave it your all and I can tell. So, what are we planning to do today?" 'We'? Did he mean he planned on coming with me? "Well I, have to buy some wall paint and decoratives, but I don't know what you'll be up to." I say. "Wall paint? I didn't know they let you paint the apartment rooms here." I chuckle. "Oh, they don't. I just figured that with how much I'm paying per month for this room, I should be allowed to do whatever I want." He mutters a laugh under his breath. "Rebel." he looks up and smirks at me. "So what are your plans today?" I ask him in between my bites of food. "Whatever you're doing today." This however, makes me choke. I feel excited right now and I can't do anything about it. I don't want to read too much into context. But what could he mean? Does he like me enough to keep being with me? This makes me happy. "Uhm, are you okay?" he asks worriedly. "Yeah, fine. Why wouldn't I be?" I get up from the table, taking my dishes to the kitchen after finishing the rest of my breakfast. Lea follows shortly after. He pushes me to the side. "You go on and get ready. I'll take the dishes from here." He starts washing the dishes for me as I nod my head and walk towards my bedroom, in search for my makeup kit.
