I turned around as I heard my name in a British accent. Then I saw who it was. ''Kenny?'', I said surprised. ''in the flesh'', he said walking to where I was.

He was beside me now. I looked at him, surprised he was here. ''man it's been a long time Salvatore, hasn't it?''. ''yeah like two years I think'', answered him.

Before something else was said. I completely forgot that I was about to tell Hope I loved her. I looked back at her. She was looking at me confused. ''oh, ehm Hope this is Kenny. He's someone I met a couple of years ago when I was in the UK in summer. We got to know each because his father is also involved with my father with business. So, yeah'', I said then looked back at Kenny saying ''Kenny this is Hope. Hope Mikaelson''.

Kenny's eyes went to Hope. he was looking at her, then he looked back at me saying with a smile on his face ''so, this is the famous Hope Mikealson. Pleasure to meet you. You know all he ever talked about when we met was you. Like how you lighted up his day with just seeing you or how sometimes when you two were alone he was kind of nervous. So, it's finally good to meet you ms Mikaelson. I can see why Max spoke so high about you''.

As he said that I noticed Hope was looking at me, so I looked back at her. She began to smile and speak up ''nice to meet you too Kenny. Thank you for informing me that, and please call me Hope''.

I was a little shy after what Kenny just told Hope. He didn't have to say that when I were alone with her, that sometimes I was nervous. Like man come on, that was kind of something I didn't want people to know about. Well, maybe except Hope.

''so, this a party or something'', Kenny asked as he pointed at the banner. ''yeah it's for two friends of us. You know what. Let me introduce you to our friends'', I said as I took Hope's hand and interview our fingers.

We were now at the bar with Raf, Josie, Lizzie, Landon and Mg. ''guys I want to introduce you to my British friend here Kenny. ''Kenny this is Rafael'', I said pointing to him with his hat on. ''This is Josie'', I said pointing at her with her blue silk dress on. ''This is Milton. Mg for short'', I said pointing at him with a red sweater on him. ''this is Lizzie'', I said pointing at her with her green dress on. ''and of course, you know my brother Landon''.

Kenny began to talk ''pleasure to meet you all. Landon long time no see''. Landon answered back ''Kenny. Yeah long time. How's it hanging?''. ''ah, you know helping father with the business. Just got off on a relationship so, that suck's''. ''wait hold up? you were in a relationship? What happened with ''I don't want to settle down''?'', I asked Kenny.

''yeah well, she changed my mind. Now I lost her because I was stupid'', he said with a sadness in his voice. ''sorry to hear that man, that really sucks'', Landon said. ''yeah, sorry Ken'', I said. ''it's okay. She did what's best for her. She didn't ask to fall in love with the son of a mobster''.

I looked at Kenny and understood him. He must have really loved that girl, cause I have never seen him like this before.

I turned my gaze off him and turned it to Hope.

She was talking with Josie who was beside us. Still holding my hand. I looked down at our hands holding. I couldn't help but smile at the sight. However, I couldn't help but also think. Think about what she really feels about my work, about what I have to do. If it bothers her?

I looked back up at Hope. Now she was listening to Rafael saying something. I didn't catch what he was saying as I were admiring my girlfriend. ''hey Max. Earth to Max'', I heard someone say. I looked at the others and saw Landon waving his hands at my face. I took them away and said ''what?''. ''did you hear what Raf just said or were you too busy to eye fucking your girlfriend?'', Landon said.

As he said that I got mad and said in an angry voice ''first of all I wasn't eye fucking her, I was admiring her. Second don't wave your hands at me idiot. No, I didn't hear what Raf said''.

Everyone was looking at me with different expressions. I didn't care. All I cared about was the girl right beside me.

So, I looked at Hope and gave her a smile. She gladly smiled back and gave me a kiss on the cheek. ''that right there is love'', Raf said. ''I looked back at Raf asking him ''what?'' for what he just said. ''you two, stupid. You both are so in love'', he answered back with a goofy smile on his face.

''yeah he is right, brother. You two have a chemistry between you, that no one else has'', Lan said giving us a smile. ''their right guys. You and Hope have a strong connection'', Lizzie commented. ''I agree'', Jo said. ''yeah me too'', Mg said. ''gotta say your mates are right Max. You and Hope have something special. So, hold on to that'', Ken said.

I just smiled at them, nodding my head as agreeing with them. Hope squeezed my hand assuring that she agreed with them. I then looked at her, as she did the same.

Our eyes were lost in each other. When I looked at her. For the first time in my life, I knew what they meant about a home isn't a house but it's a person.
