It's almost the end of the week already and everyone is getting ready for the annual weekend retreat Nick has planned for the company. They planned to stay at a cozy hotel which is close to the forest.

"Remind me, why are we gonna do this again?" Wanda sarcastically asked.

"It's to build teamwork." Clint laughed.

"We're a small advertisement agency who mostly works for corporate companies who's on the verge of Chapter 11." Wanda rebutted before rolling her eyes.

Sharon lets out a short laugh from what the brunette just blurted. Wanda thought the retreat is a ridiculous thing to do but she can't do anything about it since everyone is mandated to go or extra work or consequences will be given by Nick and God knows what those will be.

Saturday early morning came and Wanda drags herself out of bed to start getting ready for the retreat. Her things was already packed in her suitcase from the night before. She heads straight to their meeting place to where the company's shuttle will be. She feels a little anxious because the rooms needs to have two people each and they can't choose their roommates because like what Nick said, 'we need to build some sort of teamwork and that means, getting along with other employees in the company we normally don't converse with.'

'Ridiculous' Wanda thought to herself.

Last year, she was paired up with Carol who's by far one of the weirdest employees in the company. She had a hard time sleeping at that time because Carol warned her that she tends to sleep walk and she wasn't lying. At some point, Carol was at the end of Wanda's bed and she just stared blankly at her. Wanda also can't get over the fact that she packed a jar of peanut butter and jelly and a loaf bread in her suitcase.

She finally arrives and sees everyone boarding the shuttle. As she gets in, she looks for Sharon who already reserved a seat for her. She shuffles through the people placing their baggage up in the bus compartments.

"You ready?" Sharon asked.

"I guess." Wanda hesitated.

When they made it to the place, everyone gathered in the lobby. Nick heads straight to the receptionist and asks about the reservations.

"This is dumb." Wanda blurted.

"Oh c'mon. It's not gonna be that bad." Sharon said, trying her best to convince her friend.

"Yeah, until you find out who's going to be your roommate." the brunette rolled her eyes for the nth time.

"It'll be great. Besides, you don't have a choice. So the best thing that you can do is to try and enjoy it. Don't be a Negative Nancy." Sharon advised.

Wanda just shrugged and grabbed her phone to distract herself. Sharon then approached Gamora's group to ask about the on going gossip about Maria Hill's pregnancy, wanting to know if it's real or not.

"Alright." Nick started. "We got the keys for the rooms. As you know, everyone will be paired to someone since all rooms has two single beds. So everyone huddle up because here is the list of the people that will be paired up together."

Nick draws up a list from his pocket and calls them out as each person from the specific rooms takes the key from him. Wanda felt even more anxious because she doesn't feel comfortable about anyone in the company except for Sharon and she knows that she won't be paired with her because no close friends ever shares a room.

"Then Wanda," Nick announces. Wanda skips a heartbeat. "You're with Natasha." he finishes.

The brunette felt a slight pain in her stomach as she takes the key from her boss and tries to look for her soon-to-be roommate. She gulps as their eyes meet. Natasha once again gave another one of her emotionless glare.
