A year later...

↢◈↣

Natasha invited Sharon and her husband, Bucky, as well as Peter and his girlfriend, MJ, to her shared apartment with Wanda. She planned a dinner celebration for Wanda who obviously happily supported the idea. She was happy to see Natasha be close to her best friend as well as have friends of her own. Every single day, she sees how the redhead has become a different person in the best possible way. She was a lot more vibrant and happier versus her isolated and intimidating self she was more than a year a ago.

She didn't really asked or force her to change. She just transformed by herself and without realizing, so did she. Wanda was a lot more excited to wake up each day. She was no longer that girl who always feels lackadaisical every single day. She never left Shield but she worked on reaching her dreams as a writer. She was also working so hard in the company that she got a promotion that made Natasha and Sharon feel so proud.

Being with Natasha made her realize the things that she can possibly do in her life and that's what she did. She found ways and took the extra mile in reaching her dreams while still being able to earn something. Ever since Natasha and her were official, she had the inspiration to finally write a book. Which was noticed by a publisher that took a chance on her. It wasn't as big and massive as other authors but she made it, she finally can see her name officially printed on a book and it was being sold in a bookstore or two somewhere in New York City.

And no one can take that away from her.

"Tonight is for the love of my life; Wanda. Can you believe it? Account Manager and Author all in the same year? You're so amazing and you deserve it. And this book..." Natasha raises the hardbound book sat on the table before proceeding, "This amazing book entitled 'Take a Chance on Me' that you have been working so hard for has finally made it to the shelves. I am so proud of you, angel. To Wanda!" Natasha finishes as she initiates a toast for the brunette, placing the book down and raising her champagne glass after.

"Thank you, my love." Wanda smiles, letting go of the happy tears that formed in her eyes.

"And that's not all..." Natasha added before standing up from her seat. "Wanda, all my life, I thought that I will never move past from the trauma I experienced before. I thought I was forever tied to it and I will forever stay broken. But then, you came into my life... Fixing all the broken pieces and mended them together, finally putting some sense to the reason why I had to experience all those pain. You are my other half, Wanda Maximoff. You are the missing piece of my heart I never knew I needed and I am glad you showed me why I need you. I said this before and I'll say it again until we grow old... I don't ever want to lose you. So, will you marry me?" the redhead asked while she had one knee on the ground, clutching a tiny crushed velvet box with the most beautiful engagement ring she could offer Wanda.

"Holy shit!" Sharon squeals as she grabs on to her husband and shakes him, unable to contain her excitement.

Meanwhile, Wanda stayed frozen from her seat with more tears ready to fall in the corner of her eyes. She was feeling so much love, happiness and excitement that it was becoming overwhelming to her. Her heart was racing and her hands immediately went cold. Flashes of her and Natasha in the future quickly came through her mind and she couldn't wait for all of them to happen.

"Yes!" Wanda exclaims and grabs onto the back of the redhead's neck to bring her in for a kiss.

Everyone around the dinner table cheers for the both of them. Happy to see their friends in the state of euphoria.

"I can't do this anymore, Natasha. I'm so sick of it." Wanda weakly says.

"But why? Why are you saying this now?" the redhead asked.

"Because this keeps happening every day, and it keeps getting harder."

"Baby, I'm sorry but you said you were willing to be the one who will carry our child." Natasha says, trying her best to comfort her 9-week pregnant wife who just had her second round of morning sickness for the day.

"Will you ever want another one?" her pregnant wife asked. Almost sounding a little too whiny.

"I don't know. M-maybe. Why?" Natasha probed.

"Then you bear the next child then!" she grunts as she sits down on the bathroom floor, already feeling exhausted.

"You have yourself a deal, Mrs. Romanoff."

Natasha chuckles before kissing her wife on the forehead to console her. In the fourth year of their marriage, Natasha and Wanda already planned to have a child all because it came to the point that they love each other so much they had space for one more. One that could serve as the symbol of their love for each other.

About seven months later, Wanda felt her first contraction that shocked her. She flinched from the couch where both women were watching 'Malcolm in the Middle'. Natasha immediately tends to her wife to check on her. "Are you okay?"

"Y-yeah. I think I just felt a contraction." she says before flinching again. "Holy shit! Yes. I just felt another one!" Wanda shrieks and her wife bolted out of the couch in panic.

"Holy fucking shit! This is it! We're about to have a baby." Natasha exclaims as she grabs the bag she had readied for this specific day. Before they both made their way to the car, Natasha kisses the brunette and looks at her with all the love that she has for her.

"I love you." Natasha sniffles.

"I love you more." Wanda sobs and cups the cheek of the redhead, "Now, let's go have a baby." she added and the Russian woman guided her wife to the car.
