Natasha didn't notice how the time went by so fast. When she glanced at the clock after editing the final batch of images that needs to be sent before midnight, she was shocked to see that it was already half past seven. Suddenly feeling worried that the younger woman didn't swing by again after checking on her at half past six. She then quickly grabbed her jacket and bag and made her way towards Wanda's desk. She was expecting to see that she might have gone home but instead, she saw the brunette fast asleep. Her head leaned back on her chair and her coat snuggly wrapped around the younger woman that served as her blanket to keep warm.

The older woman smiled to see that she really kept her word. She placed her hand on Wanda's cheek and lightly brushed it with her thumb to not shock the sleeping girl. "Wanda," she whispers and slowly, the brunette's eyes fluttered open. A little disoriented but she immediately relaxes and smiles as soon as she sees Natasha's face.

"Hi," she squeaked.

"Hey, beautiful. You look tired." the redhead commented.

"No. Just felt sleepy."

"Maybe I should just bring you home. Let's just have that date some time this week." Natasha suggested.

"But I want to hang out with you." the brunette whined, not ready to be apart from the redhead just yet. Suddenly, an idea sprung to her mind as she slowly stood up from her office chair, "Counter proposal. How 'bout we go get some takeout and eat it at my place?"

"You're taking me to your place for our second date?" Natasha probed.

"How 'bout let's just call it as two girls hanging out in an apartment?"

"Sounds good to me."

They both made their way to the closest fast food chain before hailing a taxi cab. Wanda led the older woman to her apartment and when she has unlocked the door, she invites the redhead to enter first.

"Wow. This is cute." Natasha smiled.

"What a nice way to say 'small'" the brunette laughed, setting their food on top of the small kitchen table.

"Well it's small but it has a certain kind of appeal to it."

"Why thank you." Wanda grinned.

They both got their food out and started eating in comfortable silence before Wanda noticed the old scar on the side of Natasha's forehead and a few smaller ones across her face. She never really noticed them before because she was so fixated on the Russian woman's green eyes, button nose and plump lips.

"Hit me with the question that's burning in your mind, Wanda." Natasha softly said, an attempt to get the brunette's attention.

"Sorry. I don't mean to stare and to pry, but I just noticed all these scars on your face. What happened if you don't mind my asking?"

"Well, let's just say that I had a very rough childhood." the older woman smiled.

"Shit. I'm sorry, Nat."

"It's okay. I grew stronger because of it and it's all in the past."

There was a brief silence that surrounded the both of them and was then broken when Wanda gently placed her thumb on Natasha's face, gently tracing the scars that's visible to the naked eye. Tears suddenly formed in the brunette's eyes, before leaning closer to the other woman. Leaving only an inch of space to separate them.

"You grew cold and closed because of it. I hate that this happened to you. You never deserved all the pain you went through." Wanda muttered.

Natasha didn't notice the tears that flooded her eyes. Her vulnerability already surfacing her closed and guarded heart. Not knowing if letting her guard down for Wanda is either a good or a bad thing. She never wants to feel the kind of hurt she felt before. She can tell how kind-hearted the brunette is but so was Dreykov when he brought her up. To Natasha, Wanda could be so good for her but at the same time, she could also be bad.
