"Eva. Hey. Open your eyes." Eva eased her eyelids open and looked at her mother. Nothing at all was around her- they were just floating in a white void of emptiness. No echoes were heard, however, because there was nothing for the sound vibrations to bounce off of.
"Mom. What's going on?" Her mother embraced her tightly, intertwining her fingers with her daughter's. "Darling. That demon marked her name on your back. You can't say it no matter what, or else she will fabricate into the real world. Got that?"
"Wait, she's a demon!?" Eva's eyes widened. "Yes honey, she isn't a spirit of a former owner of the house. If she crosses the threshold from Middle Earth, she'll kill everyone in sight. Nobody could possibly stop her but Jesus himself, and he's long gone." Eva rubbed her temples. "This feels like it's a lot to take in, even though I expected it. Demons latch onto people all the time and feed off of them." Her mother smoothed Evas hair.
"My smart girl."Kate smiled. "Anyways, I'm already aware with what's happening. I can't always help you though, because to do that, I need spiritual energy- and a lot of it. It takes time to regain something that useful. Also, listen to me carefully, darling. Don't trust anyone in that psych ward. I have a bad feeling about that place..." Eva nodded.
The white emptiness started to fade away. They looked around. "Alright honey, it looks like our time is up." She kissed Eva on her forehead. "I love you so much." She started to fade away with the void, leaving Eva to float on her own. She blinked once more and she was awake.
