Eva woke up in a near empty room, in a bed that wasn't her own. She pulled the baby blue sheets and quilt comforter off of her, revealing her pale body clothes in white cotton pajamas and grippy socks. She groaned in frustration and punched the wall with the side of her fist. They actually brought me here!
She climbed out of bed and exited the vacant room, entering the most boring hallway she'd ever seen. She walked over to a staff member and tugged on his shirt.
"Hey. I want to talk to my father."
The male smiled and asked for her name, which she told him. He brought her to a room and gave her her cell phone that had been pre- sterilized. "This was mailed in by your father, actually. Don't forget that lunch is at three." Eva nodded and walked back to her room.
Nobody else had dared interact with her because of her new appearance. People parted ways and stared as she walked down the hallway, slamming her door shut behind her. She looked at the knob and moaned.
"Of course there aren't any locks here- it's a fucking psych ward. Whatever."
She plopped on her bed and called Samuel. He didn't pick up on the other end, so it kept ringing until it left the voicemail option. God damnit dad, this is one of the worst times to be busy. She sighed.
"Hey dad. Do me a favor and leave that house. You have to trust me on this- that place isn't safe." She continued to explain everything that she knew about the situation until she had exceeded the length of the voicemail. Sent.
She set the phone beside her and stared at the ceiling, when she saw her.
"Poppy.." she whispered, then slapped her hand over her mouth. Shit.
Before she had a chance to scream, she was dragged into the middle earth realm, where her bed turned into an endless bath of over concentrated salt water most likely from the Dead Sea. She screamed in pain, but her cries for help weren't audible in the real world- this was her subconscious state. She hunched over, unable to catch her breath, when razor sharp feathers sprouted from her back, piercing her skin. It was agonizing.
When her feathers finished sprouting, she had massive wings with a wingspan of 12 feet. She then felt herself forcefully get jerked up, back into the real world, but not with her body. She looked down at her body inhabited by Poppy.
She had finally succumbed to the madness, and her spiritual body was fully departed from her physical one. She looked down on her limp body for the very last time, not even attempting to take in what was happening. All she could do was shed a tear, mourning her own death.
"To whatever higher power is out there, fuck you."Clarification:
Poppy is a demon that feeds off of the demise of others and will do anything to become stronger. She inhabited Eva's body, and Eva's spirit is currently with her mother's. She used Eva as a vessel to latch onto until she could finally overpower her, and fabricate into reality.Poppy finally got used to her new body, and was now able to move. She sat up and smiled. She whipped her arm towards the wall and watched it implode. Screams were immediately heard from every corner of the facility, and she felt amazing. She stood up out of bed and cracked her neck side to side.
"Now... where do we start?" She said with a vile smile, blood dripping down her wings.

Sorry this is everywhere- it's a freestyle and I was trying to get the book done. I almost abandoned the book, and did, but I then got a comment on the first part and it gave me motivation to finish it. I hope you liked my story! :)
