STAY

***

Sprawled out on the sofa, his head on Jisung’s lap, his boyfriend’s fingers gently running through his brown locks, Minho was passionately explaining to the other boy how absolutely important it was for him to spend as much time as possible with his cats - his parents had recently brought two cats home for Minho, and the boy had been thrilled ; he hadn’t told his parents that he wished to adopt a third one he had seen at a shelter a week ago. Jisung listened, a loving smile on his lips, eyes on his boyfriend, fingers mindlessly going through the dark locks, letting out a small chuckle when his pretty Minho got too passionate.

"Jisung, I'm really serious!" Minho frowned, looking up at his boyfriend who tried his best to remain serious. "Soonie and Dongie really hate it when I leave."

"Of course, baby," Jisung chuckled. "You're so cute."

Minho huffed in annoyance, averting his eyes away from his boyfriend and Jisung quickly pecked his lips, causing the boy to blush. "You really are the cutest!" Jisung exclaimed. He suddenly pulled his boyfriend to sit up, making him squeal in surprise, and placed him on his lap before attacking Minho's lips and face, placing kisses upon kisses there. Minho whined, squirming in Jisung's arms, trying to avoid the loving kisses, hands on his boyfriend's chest to push him away, but Jisung only laughed and wrapped his arms around Minho, pulling him even closer and tightly hugging him. When Jisung finally stopped his attack and pulled away from his boyfriend, he cupped Minho's face, lovingly admiring his flushed cheeks and sparkly eyes.

"God, I don't know what I did to deserve you…" Jisung said. He pressed a long and tender kiss on Minho's lips.

Minho giggled and wrapped his arms around Jisung's neck, hugging him tightly before pulling away. "Wanna watch a movie?"

"Anything you want, angel," Jisung replied and pecked his boyfriend's lips.

It had been a while since Minho and Jeongin’s last encounter, and ever since that moment, Jeongin had seemed to be doing a little better. However, Minho noticed how exhausted Jeongin looked most of the time, how his eyes had lost their sparkle, and the way he flinched so easily, and it made the older’s heart clench painfully. He had promised Jeongin that he would help him break up with Felix, but he didn’t know how he could do it, and what the consequences would be for the younger. Minho was honestly scared for his dongsaeng, and from what he had heard and seen, it would be very hard to manage to break this toxic relationship up. But Minho was very much determined to do something.

During an afternoon, while Jisung was hanging out with Felix, Minho took that opportunity to go and find Jeongin. It was a rather easy task, the younger being outside, working at a table alone. He was a little surprised to say the least, to find the younger with no company whatsoever, but he figured that it was probably Felix’s fault. With a sigh, Minho approached the table and sat down on the bench, facing Jeongin who startled slightly and dropped his pencil.

“Don’t worry, Innie, it’s just me,” Minho said softly.

Jeongin nodded with a tight smile. He bent down and picked his pencil up, placing it on his open notebook, his eyes lingering on his books, fingers playing with the pages, before he looked up at Minho, his soft gaze making him relax ever so slightly.

“So…,” Minho started, “how have you been?” He really wasn’t sure how to start this conversation, how to keep it going, and it felt awkward for a hot minute.

“Okay, I guess,” Jeongin shrugged.

Minho frowned. “Innie, you know you can talk to me. I don’t believe you’re okay. You’re jumpy, scared, you jolted so hard when I sat with you, it was almost scary.”
