It all made sense now.

Why he never said he loved you..

In your mind,you were never sure if he really did so you filled your head with things that made you feel better about the entire situation.Toji didn't love you,so instead,in your wildest imaginations,he had given you the only type of affection you thought was possible.

Toji would never love someone like you,you're a 18 year old girl who had barely gone through the worlds challenges.You attended school and had gone back home,to a quiet house.If your parents were there,they were either in there studies or pulling on fake smiles to reassure there only child that they were one perfect family and that they were parents who worked hard because they cared.

Those were all lies.They stayed away to avoid the awkwardness and they stayed away so they wouldn't have to explain why they were gone.

Mum's skipping with men after men every weekend and Dad,well his probably fucking Chief Harera again.Gotta love a Latina woman right?These were all the things they avoided,yet was it wrong to love them?

Anyway back to the actual convo,Nobaru had her own issues to deal with and Yuji just lost his grandfather.He was a grumpy old man but none the less,poor kid loved him.

This is what you hated about yourself,because somehow a normal thought or a random conversation would lead to Toji Fushiguro.The man you desperately tried to hate.

The brute sat in his familiar desk while you tried desperately to figure out the equation he had given you.You had heard about his detention class and the impossible equations he had given the detentionee's to figure out.

Let me tell you that this was no child's play.You had been sitting with the same sum for about twenty minutes now,racking your brains,dotting down calculations and furiously erasing them right after.To you,it wasn't impossible,only because you wanted to wipe that fucking smirk off his face.

"Giving up already  Ms [Last Name]?"

"Do I look like I give up Mr Fushiguro?"

He chuckled softly and it was smooth and velvety and knocked a song bird right out of the park.There was a slight hinge of amusement laced in his voice,he enjoyed watching you struggle.

Your pen dropped as you looked up at him,biting into your cheeks.There he sat,a wide,mocking grin on his face while he made fun of you.You glared and his grin had only turned even more sly looking.

He tapped his chin and hummed,eyes squinting as if he was deep in thought.
