"Heard you got detention with my old man"

Megumi chuckled as the two of you walked down the quiet road.School had just ended and you just got back from your second day of detention.Megumi's extra curricular classes didn't started till 6 so as a kind friend,he decided to spend his last sorts of freedom by walking you home.He'll be late but who cares.

"Yeah,his an asshole"

You meant that with every fibre of your being.Toji Fushiguro was an asshole,

But still an asshole.He handed you your ass once again and now you became familiar with the saying.Not only did he wrack your brain and turn it into mesh,he gave you piles on top of piles of detention homework on top of piles on top of piles of actual school homework.

"As long as you can keep up with him and show him you're not going down without a fight,he'll get off your back"

"Megumi smiled as he listened to you whine all the way to your home.It wasn't something you were looking forward to,you know,being alone,but you didn't expect Megumi to stay over all the time.

"His insufferable Megumi!He throws these impossible equations at me,mock me when they're wrong and laughs when I'm struggling.Im not allowed to go home unless I've finished everything"

With a exaggerated groan of frustration,you pushed your hair back.
"Tomorrow I'll be more prepared.I've finished all his equations and I studied my ass off.I know exactly how to get every possible answer to similar equations he handed to me.Toji Fushiguro can eat my ass"

"Hey that's my dad"
Megumi snorted and pulled a face.You had realized what you just said and the faint image of Toji's face stuck between your cheeks had made your cheeks go blazing red.

"I-I didn't m-mean that!c-crap"

Megumi laughed and ruffled your hair.It was just a friendly joke and you had accidentally let your words run wild.
"Calm down [Name] [Last Name] it's not like you meant that"

"Y-yeah"
With a nervous laugh you waved him off and rubbed your arms.The walk had became a comfortable silence and sooner or later you had stopped in the driveway of your home staring at the two cars parked comfortably.Your parents were home.

"They're here"

"I-I know"

"Do you want me to go in with you o-or-"

"N-no Meg,it's okay.They're my parents I shouldn't be afraid of doing this"
It's not that you were afraid,you just didn't want to.
"I'll see you soon okay,you have important tests coming up..focus on that"

Megumi hummed and gripped his headphones,pulling them over his ears.
"I'll see you around Chi Chi"

It brought a smile to your face.He had called you by the nickname he had given awhile back.Chi Chi was a character in one of your video games you were so obsessed with.You completely loved this particular character and ever since then,you've been Chi Chi.Megumi didn't make this a common thing but when he did use it,you felt loved.

"You too..pineapple"
He snapped his head to you making you giggle and rush down the pathway.With a small smile to his face,he walked back home.

Walking into your house was like walking into a humid room,so uncomfortably hot and stuffy you felt suffocated.You felt like a stranger stepping into the home of another,you didn't belong.

Mother called out to you,a smile on her face with her arms wide open.Mother was a beautiful woman and you shared the same eyes along with her.You were the spitting image of her.
Where she had beauty and a model-like body she lacked true compassion,a horrid woman that grew obsessed with wanting to stay young.
