You hadn't returned to the dinner table after the incident. You were embarrassed to face Toji and too upset to look your parents in the eye.The only reason they ever brought you here was to show you off anyway.

Both your parents had placed you on a pedestal. It was one so high it seemed you could never come down from, because of them. You had been mentally tired and physically drained. How long was there toxic lies going to go on for?
It's been months and you hadn't really felt the love and warmth you so desperately craved for and the little satisfaction you felt with Toji was slowly draining away and as for rejection, well it was a word you didn't want to know.

Sure,he stood up for you to the point where butterflies had fluttered and you felt nauseated that you needed him.You wanted to be the person he pulled a chair out for.You wanted to be the person he kissed on the cheek. You wanted to be the person he'd bid goodnight and you wanted to be the person he made love to.

Dearest reader, this is exactly what the problem is.Somehow, every thought or action was linked back to Toji. You simply couldn't get him out of your head and it drove you to madness at times.Toji was the only thing you thought about. He was your trail of thought from the afternoon to the evening and during the night he had simply taken over your body, yet only capable in your dreams.

You couldn't stand yourself. For once, you'd like to be distracted.Distracted by something else other than Toji Fushiguro, which is why you found yourself lurking in the most private area of the museum. It was quiet and you could hear yourself think.Despite the faint music in the background, you could finally be alone.

You walked around the large space, heels clicking onto the marble floors as you tapped your index finger onto your champagne glass. You had admired the sculptures dedicated to the Roman era and found yourself lost in the detailed paintings and the fascinating history that came with the piece. It was quite interesting, the past.

Though honestly, you preferred the Egyptian era.It was more your style.Gods and Goddesses worshipped for there superiority. It was rustic and entertaining and the thought of witnessing someone being mummified was quite interesting.

"You seem entranced"
Tojis deep voice had bounced off the quiet walls making you whisk around in a sharp turn. You clutched your drink tighter in your hand, staring at the reason why you found yourself in a isolated area. His hands slipped into his pockets and a small smile tugged on his lips.Toji joined your side and the two of you slowly turned back to the painting in front of you.

"You scared me"

"Did i now?"

"What are you doing here Mr Fushiguro?"

"I thought we agreed on me liking it better when you call me Toji"

You sucked in a breath and sipped onto your champagne, glancing at him.Toji turned his head toward you and licked up at the scar in the corner of his mouth, his eyes dropping from your blood red lips to your suit.It was a fetish he had gained over the years.

Red.

The color of passion. It drove him mad and wanted nothing more to rip them off a woman's body and have his way with her.In this case, you.

"I wanna thank you"
You ignored his gaze and set the glass down onto the pedestal of one of the statues. You turned toward him and nervously played with your fingers,a jittery feeling pooling in your knees.
"For what you did back there,I appreciate it.You stood up to my parents far better than I could have"

"I meant every word I said"
He turned toward you, taking slow steps.
"They really are shitty parents"

"I know"
