Nico raised an eyebrow and smirked, 'That'll be two doughnuts and two coffees, yeah, thanks pretty.'

The girl behind the counter grinned back at him and handed him the doughnuts, making their fingers brush together, 'Your coffee will be here in a sec-I didn't catch your name.'

'Nico. Nico di Angelo.'

Will made an angry noise, 'I'll go wait by the doors.' And he marched off, leaving an oblivious Nico behind.

They'd been having a stroll around the area and decided to buy something before heading to their apartment which was only a block away. Nico joined Will after he'd paid and handed him his drink.

They walked along the street, and Nico snorted, 'It's so fun flirting with oblivious people.' When his boyfriend didn't say anything, Nico added, 'You okay babe?'

Will didn't reply and threw the door open of their apartment after unlocking it, not even bothering to look at Nico behind him. He made a scoffing noise, 'I thought you were supposed to be gay?'

'I am.' Nico laughed, completely oblivious, 'That's half the fun.'

'For you.'

'Will, what's wrong? You know I'm gay.' The dark-haired boy frowned, setting the doughnuts onto the kitchen counter.

'Exactly.'

'Don't you have an ounce of faith in me?' Nico laughed.

'What about when you flirted with that guy in the park last week?' Will demanded.

'Which guy?'

'The one with the sea green eyes.'

'Oh, him,' Nico chortled, 'Not my type.'

'Doesn't change how I feel about it.' Will sneered, and Nico stepped back. It was the first time Will had sneered at him.

'S-sunshine? You good?'

'Am I not enough entertainment for you? Am I not enough for you?'

'Will-'

'Listen up Nico, I haven't said anything for a while now, but this was the last fucking straw. I don't want to see you flirting with random-ass strangers!' The blonde boy jabbed a finger in Nico's chest.

'Oh come on Will, have little confidence in me. You're the only person I'd ever want to be with.'

'Oh yeah? Cause doesn't seem like it! What if I'd start flirting with someone in front of you.'

'At least it's in front of you!'

'Yeah, you expect me to believe it's only in front of me?! ' Will was full-on shouting now. Nico had never seen Will so worked up before.

'Does being in a relationship mean that I don't get any freedom?' Nico grumbled.

'WELL IF OUR RELATIONSHOP IS THAT BIG A BURDEN FOR YOU THEN MAYBE WE SHOULD END IT!'

'Will-'

'Spare me,' Will scoffed, 'You can flirt freely with whoever you want now. You won't have a fucking burden in the shape of me anymore.'

He left the apartment, slamming the door and leaving a heavy blanket of silence behind him.

Nico sank to the floor, and he thought he'd never be able to get up again.
