the pillow underneath of Y/n was cushy and plush. much more different than what she was used to.
her head throbbed painfully, dried blood covering her back, arm, and part of her face. her white dress was permanenetly stained and stiff.
she opened her eyes, unsure of hte blurry world around her as light invaded her sight.
"shes awake?" a soft tiny voice said.
a hand touched her uninjured arm, slid down to her hand and squeezed gently.
"miss, please dont panic, theyll be angry if you scream."
the voice was child like, scared, and barely above a whisper.
her vision sharpened, and Y/n found herself in a dimly lit cellar. there was quiet rumbling on the ceiling above her, what sounded close to applause.
the pillow beneath her wasnt really a pillow. another lady was cradling her in her lap, brushing her hair gently to one side to help soothe the panicked young women. she didnt seem much older than a teenager.
Y/n sat up quickly, her world swam for a moment and she became disoreinted. a pair of hnads clamped over her mouth, childish, sad eyes staring into hers urgently.
"miss, please dont yell. please."
this was a child. her dirty face covered in mud and grime, her hair tangled up on her head. she couldnt have been older than 12.
"mmph."
Y/ns words were muffled. her stomach was twisted in knots as tears filled her eyes.
"its alright miss, its okay."
the child touched her face gently, and removed her hand. she wanted to scream and cry for help, but she knew there was no way it would come.
now able to look around, Y/n found that there were dozens of young women in this dank underground area. each of them looking terrified, each of them dressed in barely covering rags.
"where are we?" y/n whispered. her voice was shaking, a tear streaked down her cheek and splashed to the ground. her hands began shaking as she lightly swiped more tears from her face.
"we dont know." a more mature voice said. the women who had been cradling Y/n placed a hand on her back, staring at her tiredly.
"the traders were desperate, five minutes till the auction and they bring you in." she murmured.
"auction?"
this wasnt happening. this was a terrible nightmare. she had nightmares of being kidnapped before, but they werent real. this couldnt be real! she tried to stand, but heavy chains kept her in place, the child in front of her just stared quietly, a pile of clothes in her hands.
"the masters want you to put this on." they said quietly.
y/ns eyes went wide as she stared at the pile of raggy clothes. they matched the other womens around her.
"n-no are you kidding?"
her voice was louder than she meant it to be, the child clamped a hand over her mouth, staring around panicked.
"please, please be quiet." she whispered.
there was a tug on the back of her dress, the silk ribbon that held her back closed came loose and her under gown slid down. Y/n caught it right before it hit the tops of her breasts.
"please, whats going on?"
her voice was loud, from down the hall there was a quiet thunk.
"miss-"
