a silver dagger

the morning when Y/n woke up was gloomy and dark. the clouds outside were dark grey, blotting out the sun and threatening rain.

it made her happy. she loved the rain.

on her table, there was a small letter, a silver platter with tea and biscuits on it.

she got up, finding herself dressed in a velvety robe, and remembered the previous night.

the kiss, victors warm and gentle eyes, his hot body pushed to hers.

she touched the bandaged cut on her chest.

the letter was written in Blue ink.

'Y/n, Lucien is out for the day, Master Gavin has gone recquested you come to his room once youve awoken, master Victor has asked that you meet with him at some point during the afternoon. currently he is at a buisness meeting and may not be back for a few hours. I am with him, and have left your clothes and food out for you. pleasant day, River'

there was a little smiley face written beside her name, and it made Y/n smirk.

she undressed, wondering why gavin wanted to see her now.

was it the room shed been to before?

she assumed as much.

the dress she wore today was much nicer. the was a lacey, lilac colored fan, a pair of lace gloves, a silver necklace with a deep purple stone laid in it. beside this, was a matching dress.

it was much fancier than what she had worn before, clearly made for going out. it was like something a princess would wear.

she got dressed, spanned the corset, tucked the lacing in the back and tied it in a neat bow

she got dressed, spanned the corset, tucked the lacing in the back and tied it in a neat bow. she pleated her hair and secured it with a golden ribbon, hook the necklave on, and slid the glove up her arms. they reached elbows.

she took the fan, unfurling it and twirled in the large heavy dress. it fit her nicely, she looked like one of the royals that had visited her village.

she batted the fan in front of her face, mimicing the actions of the eldest daughter she had watched with dazzled eyes.

it felt stupid.

she laughed at herself, and walked out of the room, not having touched her breakfast.

she walked to where she had been before, and found that the normally locked door was wide open. the castle was silent, save for the quiet footsteps on the cool floor.

y/n approached wearily, and jumped back when gavin suddenly appeared in the door.

"jesus!"

she nearly tripped back, but caught herself on the wall, a hand on her chest as she breathed in.

gavin blinked before smiling apologetically.

"sorry, i realized you were here." he said.

he looked well. his large frame dressed in a nice suit, a black overcoat, a matching vest with a silver chain drooping out of one side, a hankercheif in his breast pocket, and gleaming metal pines decorating the other side of his chest.
