Chapter 24

"My lord child, how much do you eat?!" Riley asked Luke as he scarfed down his fifth slice of pizza, I just laughed, shaking my head.

"He's a pig"I retorted and Luke snorted, causing me to start a laughing fit, "I can't believe you just-"

"Well I did, babe. Deal with it"Luke smartassed back at me, I hit his head and laughed. My finger kept playing with the engagement ring on my left hand, trying to memorize its feel and get used to it on my finger, still.

Everything seemed to be falling into place, I had a loving fiancé, my family is complete. My friends were living with me, I had everything I could ever want. I had everything I want, right in front of me.

Yeah, I was that sentimental kind. It's fine though, it's fine. The only issues were that Alex and Aria were living with us now, more mouths to feed. Their mother had lost custody of them for drinking and abusing them, the kids speak their minds. They told and we called the police on her ass. Deserves it too.

"Alex!"Ashton laughed as the little boy climbed up Ash's back and that made my smile grow as I sat down in front of Luke,who was on the couch, eating more pizza. Aria decided to sit in my lap as I did this. Playing with her hair was something she loved me to do.

"God they're adorable!"Maia said, coming into the room and sitting on the floor next to Ash, holding his hand. She was right, they were cute, but they were also monsters.

"Alright"I sighed looking at the clock, "Alex, Aria, bed time!"I said and Alex groaned.

"Five more minutes mom."for six he was smart, but I shook my head.

"No, I gave for an extra hour, and your sister is tired, bud. Come on"I said, picking up Aria as I stood up. Alex followed behind me as I heard his feet pitter patter in the floor. I tucked Aria into her bed and got Alex into his with much struggle.

"Aunt Addie? Can you sing to me?"Alex asked and I smiled, nodding.

"What do you want me to sing?"

"Can you sing that Shawn amended song? You know the one that goes 'I keep craving craving you' one?"he asked, sleepily, and I giggled, sitting next to his bed as I started the song off.

"Can't get my mind to say the things I wanna say to you"I finished off, they'd been asleep since I'd gotten through half the song, but he wanted me to sing the whole song, and I did. Hearing a small wow, I turned and saw Luke.

He was smiling at me and his eyes were full of wonder and love. Those blue eyes of his searched my body as I made my way toward him, sort of pushing him out of the room and shutting the kids' door quietly.

"You are amazing. You're great with kids, have the voice of an angel, you're getting a record deal"

"Luke I haven't said anything about accepting it. I'm still studying, though I'm almost done. But I have my family to think about, meaning those two children in that bedroom behind us"I sighed, leaning against the door, and Luke smiled, kissing me.

"I love you babe, but you have to take it. This could be your only chance."

"You're right, and I'm willing to pass it over for the good of my family."

"Addie."

"Lucifer."

"Don't call me that"he laughed.

"Why not? You're laughing aren't you?"

"My names Luke."

"My names Addison."

"I love you."

"I love you"

There was a short pause before Luke pressed his lips to mine again and I finally gave into his demands as per usual.

"Fine, you win. I'll take the offer."

"Yes! Guys, she caved!"Luke cheered, and I heard groaning and a 'you owe me twenty'.

"You bet that whether or not I would cave! Jackasses"I said, moving back into the living room and looked at Riley. "Why do we deal with them?"I asked.

"Because we love them"Maia said, as Izzy entered the room with a soda in her hand, my soda. I mean I was fine with it. But still I wish she has asked. Sometimes I feel like I'm going to be sick of them, and I never am. I sat in front of Luke, him on the couch, me on the floor.

"Okay, that's only ever how I see the happy couple sit, him behind her. And then Luke just stares at her or eats or is on his phone."Calum commented as he has Riley his to him, tucked under his arm. I raised my eyebrows and gestured to them. "You know what, we are cuter than you. We're the cutest couple here."

"No way. The cutest couple here has to be Maia and Ash"

"I have to agree with her, Cal"Riley smiled and Cal pouts until she kisses him, barely pecking his lips but still he smiles. "When are you going to call Island Records to accept their offer?"

"Probably tomorrow morning after I drop the kids off at school."

"You talk about then like they're your kids."

"They might as well be, I take better care of them than anyone else."I shrugged, as I feel like run his fingers through my hair.

"Babe, I'm tired"Michael whined, a mischievous look in his eyes.

"No sex, the kids do not need to hear that!"I said, my voice going up in octaves as I said it. I worried about these kids like they were my children. They're my brothers, which makes them mine.

Michael groaned but still took Izzy's hand and dragged her toward his room.

"Have you guys even started planning the wedding?"Ashton asked, and I rolled my eyes. Ash, I loved him, but he was a persistent person, and he wanted us to plan the wedding fast, neither Luke nor I wanted that. We wanted to plan it at our own pace, what with him going back on tour soon.

The next morning, I had dropped Aria and Alex off at school, very easily for once which scared me at the time. But still I went home and whipped out my phone on my way toward the door.

"Island Records."the receptionist said, and I took a deep breath

"Hi, my names Addison Irwin. I'm calling back on of the managers, Steven? I think"

"Uhm yeah, just give me a few minutes to see if he's available to speak to you."

Being out into hold, it was irritating. Because mainly I was earlier than expected for me to tell him my news. It was three days earlier, I told him give me two weeks, he gave me it.

"Addie, nice to hear from you" Stevens voice came through the phone and I smiled, of course he didn't know that.

"Thank you, I'm glad to be able to get ahold of you. I tried last night but uh you had already gone home."I laughed awkwardly, and Steven laughed as well. I heard him sigh, I couldn't tell if it was happy or simple or frustrated. "I called because I'm accepting the offer"

A/N- this isn't bold bc I don't know how to do that on my phone sorry. But happy? She's got her brothers kids and she has a record deal! Addie is in for a huge ride coming soon! It's going to be great.
