Chapter 25

"I swear to God, Alex! Stop!"Luke was getting fed up with Alex's constant need to be near someone, and I wasn't who he wanted right now. "Babe, little help?"Luke's blue eyes peered at me, and I smiled and shrugged.

"Alex, naptime."I simply said and he was clinging to me.

"No no no! No naptime!"

"Where's your sister?"I asked him, "Tell me and no nap time, and if you don't keep clinging to my fiancé!"

"She's playing with Uncle Ashy"I laughed at Ashton's nickname that the twins had given him. It was funny, because I used to be the only one who could call him that.

"Aria!"I could hear Ashton giggling, and I picked up Alex and went toward the living room to see Aria painting Ash's nails. I lost it, setting Alex down.

"The last time this happened, I was six and you were nine, and I asked if I could paint your nails purple."I recalled the memory with a small smile, as Aria finished, she was gifted at painting nails, and I have a feeling she'll be a fashionista later in life, more so than now that is.

"You spilt the nail polish on the carpet, and we had to clean it up quickly before mum found out."Ashton laughs, and I sit next to him on the floor, taking one of his hands and blowing on the blue polish on his nails.

"And when we didn't, couldn't get it out of the carpet, we were grounded for a month."I laugh, and realized that soon, we wouldn't be like this. I had to take care of these kids, and that meant getting out of this house soon. "Ash, you know that I'm gonna have to move out of this house, right?"

"I know, it's better for the kids, but I don't want you to leave yet. I've just gotten you back from New York"

"Like almost a year ago. I got back the day after my birthday."

"Two days our time."

"Shut up"

"Oh hey, it's gonna be your eighteenth next week! LUCAS! WE HAVE PLANNING TO DO GET RILEY"Ashton screamed before rushing out of the room, leaving me bewildered. Looking toward the now sleeping twins, I sighed. Picking up Alex, I walked and set him in his bed before going and doing the same with Aria.

"Mom?"Alex muttered sleepily.

"I'm not your mother, it's your favorite Aunt."I smiled, kneeling next to his bed.

"You're gonna be our mommy right?"Alex asked, and I stopped smiling. Thinking about it, I could. If I got their mothers consent, her giving up her parental rights.

"We'll see baby. Do you want me to sing to you?"

"Can you sing Wapped Aound Your Finger by five sauce?"

"My brothers and finances song, good choice bud."I smiled before starting the song off "throwing rocks at your window at midnight.

You had me wrapped around your finger." I continued on with the song, going through the whole song even though I knew he was asleep after the first wrapped around your finger. When I was finished I kissed both of their foreheads and headed out into the kitchen. I leaned against the island and leaned my head down, my eyes closing as a sigh left my mouth.

"Babe?"Luke's voice made me look up and look into his bright blue eyes. "You okay?"He asked and I sighed in response.

"He asked me if I was going to become is mom."My vision was blurred with tears, "I just want him to have everything he deserves, but I don't know how to be their mother."

"You're doing a great job as their guardian now, Addie. It'll be the same thing if you became their mother. I'd be there to help you too. As much as I can anyways."Luke reassured me, and I smiled, grateful to have him in my life.

"Have I ever told you how much I love you?"Luke smiled, leaning in closer to me, our lips almost touching.

"Care to refresh my memory"he teased me, I laughed. I grabbed the collar of Luke's shirt and brought his lips to mine. When we broke apart he was smiling his teeth perfectly straight. "I love you"

"I love you. Now in order to became their parents-"

"We have to get their birth mother to sign over her parental rights, terminate them" Luke interrupted me, I nodded. I thought about how much they contributed to my life now, our lives. 

"It's funny, I never thought that I could attach to them like I have"I blurted my thinking, "I never thought I'd love them as much as I do. I blame my brother. I don't even know how he got a girl pregnant when he was a girl, and he's special though. Was, is, is that even possible to get a girl pregnant after a sex change?"

"I think so, he produced sperm, so I'd assume so. If not, then his sex change may've been wrongly done."Luke joked, causing me to hit him in the arm. "You do know I still want kids of our own, right?"

"Yeah, just wait until after we're married, weirdo"I leant up to kiss his lips, and to my surprise, caught his neck. I pulled away, pouting, "Babe?" Luke seemed to be amused by my confusion.

"I believe I was falling, and yeah."

"You should have fallen onto my lips, weirdo."I giggled, and pecked his lips, "We are going to talk to their mother tomorrow"

"We?"

"Yep, I hope you're ready to adopt some children, Lucas. There's no turning back now"

"You are just so lucky that I happen to love you"

"Come on, nap time before the twins wake up"I smirk, tugging him toward the bedroom. What he didn't know was that I actually meant sleeping. These nine people wear me the fuck down.
