Liam's POV

When we arrived, it was all a disaster, but at least it seemed like Stiles was fighting on our side at the moment, so that was good news. It seemed like Isaac and Erica had been filled in by Allison, but judging by their skeptical movements towards him, they had only been filled in on the basics.

"It took you guys long enough!" Isaac yelled as he punched the monster in the face.

They were completely overwhelmed, and it was just one monster. How had it not been beaten yet.

The monster had no one surrounding them. It was too easy. Way too easy. Almost as if there was something we needed to know that we didn't know.

Why was this too easy?

I scanned the area to see if there was anything that might be able to give something away, but so far I was seeing nothing. Even with my improved sight, I couldn't even get a scent.

Either I'm paranoid, or it really just is the monster by itself.

"Liam! Get your butt over here and help us!" Eric's screamed as she was thrown into a wall.

It would help them more if I figured out what was being hidden from us.

There were no foot soldiers.

No foot soldiers in sight.

Was the monster actually that strong, or was this all a trap?

It had to be a trap. Why else would it be this easy unless there was something we didn't know.

No one else seemed to be thinking about this factor, as they threw punch after punch towards the monster's face.

They weren't causing any damage though. The monster almost seemed to be enjoying it, like he was somehow winning.

Another question I kept asking myself was how I was just standing here without anything happening to me, even though this was the middle of a battle.

"Stiles!" He turned to face me,"use a blast of magical energy stuff to see if there's anything being hidden from us right now!"

It wasn't a great plan, but this way, if there really was something hidden, his magic would expose it.

Maybe if he could get in under control, the magic could be a real asset.

You could very much tell that Stiles was just trying to keep up appearances, so him listening to me was a long shot. One that actually seemed to make it in the end. He nodded and a wave of blue magical energy came pulsing out of him that then exposed 40 to 50 foot soldiers.

I knew it.

Stiles's body slumped slightly in exhaustion from a spell that powerful, but he seemed to regain his composure quite quickly as he rejoined the fight almost instantly.

The monster looked absolutely ticked that we had just uncovered his master plan, but he wasn't about to back down just because we exposed his foot soldiers. So he began throwing every punch he had in him at us.

Trust me it wasn't much. He wasn't as physically strong as we were. That was a known fact. What he did have on us though was durability. He can take a punch harder than we could throw it even with the power ranger strength added on top of the supernatural strength.

Isaac had called upon his sword a long time ago, but it didn't seem to be helping him in the slightest. If anything, the weight of the weapon in his hands was holding him back even more than it would've been without it. He didn't seem to acknowledge that as he swung it blindly, not even knowing how to use it properly.

Allison, and Erica were doing the absolute best they could be with the foot soldiers, with Allison not having that extra supernatural strength, and struggling to hold her own, but Erica seemed to be in the same boat, and she had that extra strength.

Stiles on the other hand did not seem to care, and was giving at most minimal effort. Throwing a spell here and there, kicking and punching enough to where no one could have an issue with it.

Well, his effort was minimal until his head shot up at the presence of another monster as it appeared at the head of the battle.

This one looked different than the other ones we had faced before, and he was looking straight at Stiles.

On instinct Stiles threw a ball of magic at the monster, but he caught it and absorbed the magic.

Then he raised his hand, and began to drain more and Stiles's magic, until he had raised him off the ground.

Then when he felt he had had enough he dropped the now unconscious Stiles to the ground and disappeared. Everyone had seen what had happened, but no one was going over there because of the fear of where Stiles's allegiance lied.

That didn't matter to me though, so I ran over as soon as he hit the ground. He was lying, motionless on his side, and if I couldn't hear his heartbeat I'd be sure that he was dead.

"Come on Stiles." I turned him over onto his back, and gasped at what I saw.

There was a hole burned through his suit, exactly where the monster had been draining his magic from. It definitely didn't look like something that an over the counter medication would fix, and all I could do was take his pain.

"Master Gaylord, I'm bringing Stiles in. Have a space cleared when we get there." And then I teleported us both, ignoring the yells of my teammates to bring him back, or just not to leave at all.

I wasn't just about to let him die. If it weren't for him, I don't know where I'd be right now, and he's definitely struggling with things, so why is it the team's first instance to completely ignore him? Why wouldn't it be to help him?

I'm not going to let you die Stiles, you have my word on that.
