Isaac's POV

After a long lecture from Lydia about all of us coming back in one piece, we left the penthouse.

She was pretty much ballistic, with the only thing holding her back from using her screams on them being Jackson's strong grip around her waist.

We all knew that there was a risk of us not coming back, that was something that was known going into this, but at the same time, we all yearned for Lydia's optimism that we were all going to make it back together. Well....not so much optimism as she had enough hope. She had enough hope that we were going to make it back, so that even if we didn't, she had enough for all of us and some.

The only one we were truly worried about was Stiles. He was leaning heavily on the elevator door, and when it stopped, I had to wrap his arm around my shoulders and lead him to a safe place for us to morph. He kept insisting that he was fine though, and right now, that was good enough for me, but it was still concerning that he was barely even able to conjure up enough energy to morph.

Liam kept giving him concerned glances, but he knew that nothing he could say right now was going to change his mind about joining us on this mission.

....

The giant blast of colors might have been a slight indication of us being in the alley, but still, there was no way that anyone knew that it was us who had morphed. I mean, unless they saw us go in there, which is highly unlikely since there was no one around that area.

"Alright, we have our plan, we all know what we're supposed to be doing. The portal is right there, so all we have to do now is go through it."

They all took a deep breath and nodded before walking towards the portal behind me. We finally looked like the team we were holding off from being this entire time.

We were going to win this, I was starting to have faith too.

Then all of the sudden Stiles stopped and started to back away.

"We can't go in there."

We all turned around to look at him, completely lost as to why he was saying anything when he was fully in support of this plan not thirty seconds ago.

"Why can't we go in there?" Allison asked as she turned fully around to face him as we all did not a minute after to follow her lead.

"It's bad. There's something. I don't know what. It's bad you guys. Really bad." Then he grabbed his chest where the veins were before falling back onto the wall.

Of course, we all panicked and ran to him, but I couldn't figure out why this was happening at all.

He was fine a second ago. What was happening that was causing him to freak out.

"That would be me." As we turned around, we saw a figure step out of the portal wearing a sleek black catsuit, but had a mask covering up their face to hide their identity.

And before the thoughts run in, no not Catwoman.

They definitely weren't like the monsters we had been fighting, just judging by the physical appearance, but they definitely didn't seem to be on our side with this, so it was most likely that this was going to turn into a fight. One that Stiles wasn't going to be able to help us with.

"You rangers really are stupid, don't you know?"

Was she expecting us to reply to that or something? Like agree with her accusation that we're stupid which we're not?

"You never see what's right in front of you, and trust me, this isn't just your problem. This has been this way for centuries."

She then pushed another button on her little remote thing and we all went flying onto the wall.

"The portal was back there. You're already in our world, but we found a way to cloak this part, so that you would think you finally had the upper hand on something," she stepped forward so that she was only a couple of inches in front of my face, and whispered.

"But you never did."

She then backed up and let out one of the most gruesome, stereotypical evol laughs that you would hear in every movie known to man.

"Emperor Caven! They're ready for you my lord!" She called out to what still looked like the wall, but once the projection fell, we saw his fortress.

None of us seemed to be out of shock, even as the empereor came out of the shadows to stand before us.

He wore a long dark cloak, and also bore a mask that concealed his identity.

"So these are the rangers that defeated so many of my monsters? Funny. I was expecting much more." His mask tilted up and down to show that he was looking us up and down which would be creepy in any other situation.

"How bout you let me down from here and you can see how much more I am!" I yelled as he turned his gaze to match mine.

He merely laughed at my antics and took a step in my direction.

"You should mind your manners. You never know what could get you in trouble down here."

Those were his last words before he stepped back until you could no longer see him anymore.

He simply disappeared into thin air, and as soon as he did, we all fell to the ground.

"You should've just stayed home." The one in the catsuit said before they too disappeared, and in their place, a bunch of foot soldiers and various other monsters took their places.

We didn't even have a breather before they started running at us, much less enough time to summon our weapons, but we managed to, and now we were in for the fight of our lives.

This is where we might lose our lives.
