Liam's POV
I can't believe he actually had the nerve to come here after what went down. He's lucky I'm not beating him to death right now.
"Is Stiles here?" He asked me.
Did he actually ask that? Why would I be in a place that Stiles wasn't?
"Isaac, he's over here!" Jackson's voice piped up. I rolled my eyes at him giving away Stiles's location bit kind of cowered under Isaac's accusing glare.
Yes, Lydia and Jackson both know now, but if they're here to help then I don't see a problem with them knowing or being here. Isaac however, I do have a problem with.
If I remember correctly, he tried to kill Stiles not too long ago, so what's he trying to pull by suddenly being interested in saving his life?
He's the one who tried to end it in the first place.
"Oh my god." I saw Isaac's jaw drop in shock as he said this and saw Stiles on the floor.
Honestly I was a little shocked too. He had definitely gotten worse since the last time I had actually taken a second to look at him, and he actually looked like he was dying.
"Right now, we're trying to figure out how to get Stiles's magic out of the monster's arm thing so that we can save him before it's too late." Lydia supplied as she stood up and brought him my poorly drawn diagram.
He looked at it for a second before handing it back to her and looking over at me.
"Why don't you just cut his arm off? It would probably kill him, and it would release the magic."
Okay, so I didn't want him to know that I hadn't thought of that, but it was a really good idea, and it was really hard to hide my shock at the suggestion of it. But I was doing it, and I was doing it well.
"But you can't guarantee that the magic will be released when we cut it off." I shot back feeling very proud of myself for doing so.
"Worst case scenario, you have his arm, and you can pull it out of there, but on the off chance that neither of those work, then at least you know that you tried something. You can't just sit around here and wait for him to die when you could be out there, hunting down the thing that did this to him in the first place!"
He was right.
Dang it! Why did he have to be right about this!?
"Alright. Lydia, you and Jackson stay here with Stiles. Isaac, you come with me to go find this thing."
You could tell that he knew I was having him come with me because I didn't trust him, but that wasn't the only reason. He's the only other ranger on this side except for Stiles, and I could use all the concealed backup that I can get.
The monster had somehow escaped before, but there wasn't anyway that it could've. The exits were blocked or guarded, and there was no damage to the outer or inner border of the warehouse either. Also, no one knew where we were except for the people in this room, so there's no way that he could've had help.
So how did he do it?
"Liam, are we going or not?" I snapped out from my thought to see Isaac standing in front of me with the most impatient look I've ever seen in my life.
"Yeah, just let me grab my helmet." I ran back to see Lydia standing with my helmet in her hands as she held it out to my awaiting hands.
Isaac was morphed by the time I got back to where he was.
"Let's go find this creep."
....
We must've looked like absolute weirdos just touring their way around times square, but we were really just looking for things that may tip off the location of where they're hiding.
We have this little device that came with the whole get up that tells us when the energy levels of the monsters spoke. That way we can get to them faster if we're just out and about.
"So why are you here?" I wasn't going to use his real name in public because...you know...secret identities.
He continued searching with his device, and without even looking at me he answered.
"Something was off with me before, but he's my best friend, and I'm not about to let him die."
It's a good thing he caught onto the whole no revealing secret identities thing, but he also kind of shocked me with his answer.
"Do you know what was off with you?"
"No. I just know that it happened right after the first monster fight."
Wait that actually makes sense. He was the only one that was actually able to get close enough to the monster to kill it, but we never thought about the fact that something might've happened to him in that time.
"Do you think that monster could've infected you with something after you killed it. We weren't anywhere near it and we're all fine."
He shrugged, but stopped once we made it in front of an alley.
"The levels are off the charts. There has to be some sort of monster here, even if it isn't the one we're supposed to be looking for. We should check anyways right?"
I nodded and summoned my axe as he summoned his sword before going into the alley.
There wasn't a monster there.
There was a whole freaking portal thing.
"There's no way that we can go in there. What if there's thousands of them waiting for us?" I was panicking about it, but was trying my hardest not to show that I was.
"We're going to need the team...the whole team. This means Allison, Erica.......and Stiles."
"Nope nope. Nada no. No way Lahey."
We were in private so there's no way that anyone heard us.
"I know that he's not in the best shape right now, but if we don't have the whole team then there's no hope in saving him at all."
There's no way this was happening. I wasn't going to let it happening. Stiles can't even stand on two feet much less morph and fight an army.
"But if we bring him with us then he'll use his magic, you know he will. And what's the point of bringing him if he dies on the way there!"
Isaac wasn't hearing any of this.
"We're getting the team Liam. The whole team."
