A World In Need

Chapter Two

Stiles POV

"So what movie are we getting??" I asked as I saw my friends looking through the racks.

"I don't know? Actually we should get Hoosiers. I always tried to get Lydia to watch it and she never would." He sounds like he thinks we'll all disagree. Was Lydia that difficult.

"I want The Lego Movie." Isaac says as he holds up the case excitedly.

"Well I was thinking something like the Notebook." Jackson immediately yelled no, but I honestly kind of wanted to watch it.

"How bout we get all three. We can just have a marathon." I suggested. They all nodded, but Allison looked at me funny.

"Hey you haven't picked a movie yet." She pointed out which made everyone look at me funny also.

"Fine," I said as I laughed,"I'll get the fellowship of the Ring which is the first Lord of the Rings movie. I made you guys watch Star Wars. Now it's time to introduce you to more." They all laughed as I went to get the movie. I just such my tongue out and walked away.

When I got back. They each had an armful of snacks and we're waiting for me so they could get in the checkout line. Just to make them mad I took an extra long time getting there. They were not happy about that.

On our way home we stopped at McDonald's, and pretty soon my Jeep was overflowing with food.

Then I received a text from Scott

Scott - Hey Stiles how is the rejection treating you. You may be wondering why I am texting you. I am texting you to tell you some things. One. Do not delete this number. I still have some things I am going to send for you to do. Trust me if you don't do them there will be consequences. Two. I still want to be able to tell you how worthless you are. Because you are. I don't know how the 4 of them left me for you. Your just a spastic hyperactive nobody. Never forget that.

I finished reading the text, and by the end everyone in the car was staring at me. Except for Jackson who was driving.

"What was that?" Allison asked as she tried to take my phone. I pulled it away and laughed.

"It's nothing don't worry. Now let's go home and watch the movies." That caused everyone to get off the subject and start laughing again.

Then I got another text.

Scott - Do research on the Wendigo. Get it to me by midnight.

I put my phone down and started talking to my friends.

"So what are we starting with?" I asked Jackson. He immediately jumped at the question and turned back to face me.

"JACKSON THE WHEEL!!!" Erica suddenly yelled which made Jackson snap his head forward. We of course, being the supporting friends that we are, laughed at him the whole way back to my place.

"Dad I'm home!!" I yelled as I walked in the door. He came downstairs only to laugh when he saw the four extra people with me.

"They're staying the night again?" He asked already knowing what was going on. We all nodded while laughing.

"We brought food." Erica and Allison said while holding up a McDonald's bag that we had gotten especially for him.

"I knew there was a reason I loved you guys. You are welcome here anytime.

"Hey guys I'll be right back okay?" They all nodded not suspecting a thing. I ran up to my room and opened my laptop. There was all the research I had already done on the Wendigo. All I had to do was press print. Which of course I did.
