Nervous

She took a small step back and ended up knocking over Yuuta's candle and now the candle holder is starting to burn up. Dezzy noticed as she panicked a bit and starts trying to put them out "oh no!" She says as she starts stomping on the fire. "Maybe-" Yuuta's voice now being closer got Dezzy to look up and see him right there in front of her. He's giving off a bit of a small smile as he says "you should leave the decorations to someone else?" He shrugged a bit. Dezzy stood up saying "uh- no, I actually made these as a surprise" she says before holding up his candle holder.

"For you-" Dezzy says before noticing that it's still a bit on fire, so she throws it down on the floor and kept stomping on it while looking at Yuuta nervously. She softly chuckles before finally putting out the fire, Yuuta didn't care about that though. He just says "Desiree, I know you want to help.. but tonight must go perfectly" Dezzy still kept her smile. 'I know where this is going-' "this whole town relies on our family, our gifts" Yuuta interrupted her thoughts. Then he adds "so the best way for.. some of us- to help is to step aside" he was hinting that part at her.

Dezzy tried to keep her smile, but Yuuta continued on "let the rest of the family do what they do best, okay?" Dezzy then nods while humming in agreement. The sound of a gushing wind blowing caught their attention which made Yuuta look to the side. "Tang Shen! You have a cloud!" Yuuta says, basically hinting that she shouldn't have it. Shen just looks over across from where she is saying "I know, father - but now I can't find James. What do you want from me!?" The cloud now starts to create thunder as she continues pacing around.

Dezzy starts to walk back to her room, getting the gist that basically grandpa Yuuta doesn't want her help- or he just think she'll get in the way. Though she can hear April talking to him behind her "grandpa Yuuta, be nice to Dezzy. Okay? You know tonight will be hard for her" Dezzy finally reached her room as she looks over her shoulder. Though she opens the door as she hears Yuuta "if the gift ceremony doesn't go well this time.. tonight will be hard on us all." Dezzy walked into her room before closing the door behind her and sighing softly at the sound of this.

Then she sits down on her bed- "James!!" Yoshi yells out which got Dezzy to open her bedside desk drawer and grab out a box. With that in hand she closed the drawer before breathing in and sighing deeply while looking at the box. She smiles to herself as she says "everyone's looking for you~..." it was still quiet though as she sat there. When the room was still silent she knew what she had to do to get her sibling figure to finally show they're there. "This present will self-destruct if you don't take it - in three, two.. oneee~-" Dezzy counted down.

Though as she says one the present was grabbed by a pair of hands that came from under the bed which got Dezzy to chuckle. She barely crawled under before getting a bit comfy and setting her head on her hand. "Nervous?" She asks with a bit of a knowing smile, James was laying there as he messed with the string that was tied into a bow. James doesn't answer as he just rests his head on his arms- the bit of a sad face still remained on him. Dezzy tried to give them a reassuring look saying "you have nothing to worry about."

James looks up at Dezzy as she says "you're going to get your gift and open that door, and it's going to be the coolest ever. I know it" James was still a bit nervous "what if it doesn't work?" He whisper asks his sister figure. Dezzy looks to the side saying "well, in that impossible scenario - you'd stay here in the nursery.. with me." Then she smiles at James when she said that last part, then she tried to joke around dramatically whispering "forever." With that she went to tickle at James' neck saying "and I'd get you all to myself" James chuckles a bit while swatting at Dezzy's hand.

Then they look down at the floor whispering "I wish you could have a door" Dezzy looks down at the floor too before smiling again. "You know what?.. you don't have to worry about me, cause I have an amazing family, and an amazing house. And an amazing you" Dezzy tried to reassure before holding James' hand reassuringly. James starts to smile at this which made Dezzy add "and seeing you get your special gift and your door. That's gonna make me way more happy than anything" then she dramatically sighed.

"But alas, I am gonna miss having the world's best roomie" Dezzy says while grabbing the ribbon of the present and getting it in James' view. She motioned to the box, meaning for James to open it to see what Dezzy could have gotten them. James smiled as he easily opened the box and took the top off, he gasped as he seen the item. Then he takes out the little stuffed animal of a jaguar, so he smiles at it as he moves a paw around a bit. Dezzy then chimed in with "I know you're an animal guy and I made this, so when you move into your cool new room... you always have something to snuggle with."

James smiles at the toy before looking back up at Dezzy, then they put their head on her shoulder with their eyes closed. Dezzy smiled before leaning her head onto their head and closed her eyes too. The house moved a floorboard that was closest to the toy to get their attention, so they look forward. The house then got a clock in front of them to tell them that it's time for them to get moving. Dezzy playfully rolled her eyes before saying "alright, dude - you ready?" James nods once with his smile.
