Harry ends up helping with dinner anyways, but on Louis' insistence he isn't allowed to do anything but cut vegetables to which Harry rolls his eyes with a smile, yet still does as Louis asks. They make a pasta sauce and some spaghetti - which Harry declines eating 'Lady and the Tramp' style, much to Louis' dismay, yet they still share it with their feet tangled underneath the table and one hand intertwined above it.
They spent the night lazing about on the couch to complete their lazy day and only then does Louis remember to tell Harry that he remembered something. "That song", he starts, Harry turning in his arms so they're facing each other on the couch when he speaks.
"Little things, it's called. The one you sang when I was having a panic attack earlier. You used to sing that to me back when it was happening a lot more frequently." Harry's mouth drops open in something between a surprised 'O' and a smile. "I was wondering why I knew the lyrics because I don't recall listening to that one".
Louis has a firm arm around Harry's waist to keep the boy from falling backwards off the couch - since they were spooning on the limited space before Harry turned to face him - but he uses the other hand to grab Harry's face and plant a kiss to his lips. "Forgot to tell you that", he smiles, glad to see the joy mirrored on his boy's face.
Instantly, Harry leans in for another and Louis grants it with no hesitation, this time lingering for a bit longer, just to pull back and do it all again. There's more intent this time, though, Louis instantly opening his mouth and allowing Harry's tongue in.
Their lips are meshing with a passion that makes Louis' stomach coil with pleasure, stars shooting up his spine when their open-mouthed kissing turns even more frantic, suddenly laced with heavy breaths.
Harry's hands travel down Louis' spine, finding their way to his bum and roughly pulling Louis against his body, releasing a surprised gasp from the boy that's quickly swallowed by Harry's eager lips.
"I think..." Harry gasps, words disappearing when Louis' lips are on him again. "I think... we should probably... upstairs", he eventually manages between kisses, and Louis nods frantically, his lips still not leaving Harry's for more than a breath.
"Yes, yes", he agrees, scrambling to get off the couch and completely forgetting how close they are to the edge which results in Harry falling backwards to the floor as soon as Louis' supporting hand disappears from the small of his back.
He yells out in surprise, then there's a thump and it goes quiet.
"Haz, baby, are you okay?" Louis is hurrying to Harry's side, finding the boy with his eyes closed and strained breath, almost spiraling into another panic before Harry wheezes out, "I said upstairs, not on the floor, idiot", tone fond despite having the air punched from his lungs in the meeting with the floor.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry", Louis scrambles, but Harry is already pulling him down on his lap where he lays splayed on his back. "I'm fine, Lou. Just took my breath away is all". Harry is already sounding less in pain and Louis relaxes, letting himself be pulled down to straddle Harry on the floor.
"I'll make it up to you", he offers, and Louis swears he sees Christmas lights shining in Harry's eyes.
"Fuck yes, sex favors," Harry whispers, clenching his fist in victory while Louis laughs above him, hitting him playfully on the shoulder. "That's not what I meant, you absolute minx." He jokes, and Harry feigns disappointment.
"So, no sex favors?"
"Of there will be. Now come on", Louis laughs, standing and reaching out his hands to help Harry up as well. Within a second, they're serious again, lips finding each other as they tumble blindly up the stairs - obviously having learned absolutely nothing from Harry just falling off the couch.
