~Renjun's P.O.V~

"P-please don't k-kill me"

"Too late" I watched as the blood oozed out of the body as it fell limp on the cold cobbles. I retracted the dagger that was now coated in blood, a wickedly evil grin on my face. It felt so thrilling.

I chuckled maniacally, looking at the corpse one last time before I left, disappearing into the night.

I entered our shared apartment and I was greeted by a sleeping Y/n. My eyes softened at the sight of her curled up on the couch in a deep slumber.

Approaching her, I kneeled in front of her face which looked so soft and peaceful. She looked so beautiful.

I lifted my palm to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear before I halted, noticing the bloodstains on my hand.

I sighed culpably. I felt guilty for lying to her but I couldn't tell her. I couldn't tell her that I was a murderer. She'd be so terrified and leave me but I would never in a million years hurt her. I would kill for her. She was my everything.

As if on cue, the random tv program was interrupted by the news

Breaking news: Another murder has been reported as a 34-year-old man was found dead in an alley beside the bus station.

The man was undoubtedly stabbed but there are no weapons or mysterious objects within the area.

We believe that this is the unknown killer's fourth victim in the past 3 weeks.
Police are looking everywhere for any suspicious behaviour-

Having heard enough of it, I switched off the tv. I placed a soft kiss on Y/n's forehead before heading to the bathroom to wash up.

~Y/n's P.O.V~

"Y/n, wake up love." I woke up to a calming voice and a hand softly caressing my hair. I slightly opened my eyes to see my boyfriend looking at me with loving eyes.

"You can't sleep here, it's bad for your back." I yawned, sitting up.

"Come on, let's get you to bed, love." He offered me his hand which I lazily took and he led me to our shared bedroom.

I brushed my teeth and he helped me change into my pyjamas before tucking me into the warm comfy bed. He proceeded to get himself ready, before sliding into the space next to me.

Wrapping his arms around me, he pulled me into him and placed my head on his chest as he whispered sweet things into my ear, making me quickly fall into a deep slumber.

~Renjun's P.O.V~

It was a Friday afternoon and we were heading to a nice cafe that had just opened.

The car journey was quite pleasant. Y/n looked rather content, bobbing her head to the sweet melody from the radio as we occasionally engaged in a few random conversations. That was until the music was interrupted.

Breaking news: Two more bodies were found dead this afternoon.

I froze for a moment and turned up the volume, focusing all my attention on the news. 

Both were murdered near the city bank, one of whom seemed to have been stabbed while we found traces of poison on the other body. Police are now stationed in every neighbourhood and outside community buildings.
