Buck wakes up for his shift, he is tired and hungover. He makes himself a simple breakfast because does not feel like eating, he really doesn't like doing anything right now. He gets into the shower and than gets dressed. He checks his phone, he wasn't sure what he was checking it for. He gets into his car to head to work in silence.

Eddie gets up and gets Christopher ready for school. "Come on Chris, we have to go." Eddie says.

"Okay." Chris says, as he comes out of is room and sits at the table. Eddie places toast and eggs on his plate. Eddie sits down with coffee while he eats. "Dad, am I going to have a mom?" Eddie was taken back by what he said.

"Uh, do you want a mom?" He asks. He takes a sip of his coffee.

"I want you to be happy, and you were happy with mom." Chris says. Eddie smiles, he is right, but he is not sure what to do now.

"Alright buddy, we have to get you to school." Eddie stands up and takes Chris's empty plate. They get into the car and Eddie drops him off and heads to the station.

"Good morning, 118," Cap says. "Today, is supposed to be extremely hot, so be ready."

The calls come in every hour, most of them are people passing out due to heat stoke and there were a couple car accidents as well, but nothing crazy. Eddie and Buck say very little to each other, most of it is work related.

"Buck, grab the ram."

"Eddie grab the jaws."

"Buck hand me the saw"

"Eddie, the axe."

Hen and Chimney can see that something is different, but they don't know what.

"Hen, is there something that we don't know?" Chimney says looking at Eddie.

"I think so." Hen says looking at Buck. They are both working out.

"Dinner." Cap says. There is little conversation at the table.

Their shift goes by quick and everyone heads home.

Eddie heads home to Christopher and Carla has made dinner.

"Carla, you are a saint." Eddie says. "And it smells so good."

"dad!" Christopher says.

"Hey buddy," Eddie says while giving him a hug. "How was your day?"

"It was boring." Chris replies.

"Boring?" Eddie says.

"School is boring." He rubs Chris's hair.

"I know, but you have to go." Carla is setting the table. They all sit at the table.

"How as your shift?" Carla asks.

"Busy."

"Did you talk to him?" Carla asks, which throws him off.

"Who?" Eddie says. She gives him the look. Eddie stands up and clears his plate, hardly any of the food was touched.

"What can I get for you?" The store clerk says to Buck.

"Can I get that bottle of Jonny Walker." He says.

"Sure thing." He hands him the bottle and he pays and heads home. He sits on the couch and drinks from the bottle. He opens his laptop after he has had nearly half the bottle. He places it on the table.

Google: What is wrong with me?

Google: I think I like my friend.

Google: Am i gay?

Before he hits enter, he pauses and deletes the search bar. He questions why he even searched that. He sits and does not move for hours. He began to cry. Buck does not know what is wrong with him.

He opens the laptop again.

Google: Am i gay?

He pauses. He places the laptop on the table and puts his hand over his mouth.

"Am I?" He says out loud. "No, I can't be." He wants to call Maddie, but he can't. He begins to cry. He goes to lay on his bed hoping to get sleep and forget everything that has happened his night.

He gets up and decides to go for a run.

Eddie lays in bed unable to sleep. He unlocks his phone.

Google: dating apps for parents

He messes around on the dating app for a few hours and noticed that guys were on his feed, but he wasn't mad about it. Why is he not mad about it?

He puts his phone back on the night stand. He gets up and decided to go for a run. Christopher is sleeping and he won't be gone long and Carla is staying over because Eddie was running around all day.

He beings to run, it is quite and peaceful and the heat is manageable since the sun is not up.

He turns the corner and bumps into someone.

"Du... Buck?" Eddie says.

"Eddie?" Buck says.
