This takes place before the recent 118 outing. About a few months before.
"Dad, wake up!" Christopher says. "I am going to be late for school."
Eddie has not gotten much sleep, since he met Buck, which has not been very long, only a few months. It is not because of Buck, but it is the idea of loosing Buck that keeps him up.
"Sorry, buddy, I'm up, lets get ready." Eddie says. He rubs his eyes and looks at his phone, 0745.
"I already ate." Chris says.
"You already ate?" Eddie replies.
"Yes." Christopher says. "Let's go, get out of bed."
"Okay, grab your bag." He replies.
Christopher grabs his bag and Eddie puts shirt on and grabs his keys. They get into his truck and he starts the car.

"Diaz we need medical attention over here now." BOOM! Another bomb goes off.
"Yes, staff sergeant."

"Dad, let's go." Chris says.
"Sorry." Eddie begins to drive off. Eddie does not say much on the way to Christopher's school.

"You know why they call it death valley right? It's cause there are a lot of dead people" M says.
"wow, really nice, you know there is a dead guy back here." Eddie says in the back on the Humvee.

"Dad!" Eddie slams on the breaks.
"Sorry Chris." Eddie says while having a death grip on the steering wheel.
"Are you okay?" Chris asks?
"Yea." He is lying

"Take us back to base now!" Eddie says.
"Right away." The driver is staying cautious, but going as fast as he can. "Shi...." An explosion occurs in front of them."
Eddie wakes up and his ears are ringing.
"Diaz." M shouts out.
Eddie gets up slowly, there are bullets hitting the Humvee.
