Chapter Six: Flapjack magic

Unlike most palismen Flapjack didn't stay on his staff. Instead he followed Hunter around all day.

Hunter wasn't having the best of luck today, he had a presentation on different types of deadly plants. It wasn't that he was bad at presenting, it was just that everything had been going wrong.

Flapjack knew how on edge Hunter was so he made a plan.

"Alright, we can do this." Hunter exclaimed. He'd been trying to calm himself down all day, but it wasn't working.

Flapjack knew he had to do something to get Hunter's mind off the presentation.

"Alright Flapjack, I'm sure I'll be able to do this." Hunter said looking down at his bird.

Hunter was expecting Flapjack to be supportive, but instead he saw Flapjack holding the book that contained his notes in it.

"Flapjack.." Hunter said taking a few steps closer to his bird. "Give me my notes back Flapjack.." Hunter commanded.

Flapjack narrowed his eyes and shook his head, and then he flew out into the halls.

Hunter immediately gave chase. Running down the halls and running into several lockers and walls.

He was starting to run out of breath but he kept a fast pace.

Suddenly someone grabbed Flapjack and took the book form him.

"I think you lost this." A certain purple haired Blight, said handing Hunter his book back.
"Thanks Amity." Hunter breathed out, taking the book and trying his best to catch his breath.

"Jeez Goldy, what happened to you?" A voice said form behind Hunter. He turned around to see the other two blight siblings.

"I haven't seen you this beat up since four days ago." Emira said slightly concerned. "I'm fine, Flapjack decided to be a jerk and steal my notes." Hunter said putting the book up.

"Emira." Amity said giving her a certain look that said, 'get this dumbass and his bird to the healers room.'

"Alright Goldy, let's take you to the healers room and make sure you didn't break anything." Emira said putting a hand on Hunter's shoulder.

Hunter didn't feel like refusing so he nodded. As they started walking to the healers, Hunter felt a sharp pain in his ankle, causing him to fall over.

Edric managed to catch him and help him back up. "Did you seriously sprain your ankle, again?!" Emira exclaimed.

"Don't worry sis, I'll help you get him back to the healers." Edric said quickly picking Hunter up bridal style.

Hunter was caught off guard by this and froze up, he wasn't sure why but he started blushing. |Wow, Sports.|

"Edric maybe you should just let him walk with us." Emira suggested, Edric shook his head in response and began walking ahead of Emira.

Hunter held onto Edric tightly, terrified of being dropped. Flapjack wasn't far behind, he was flying next to Emira and even sat on her shoulder for a bit.

"You didn't have to carry me ya know." Hunter remarked noticing a lot of people staring. "Well it's better than letting you torture yourself." Edric replied making it to the healers.

He set Hunter down on a chair and waiting for Emira. She arrived a few moments later with Flapjack.

Emira used her healing magic to help heal Hunter's ankle and shoulder. She saw him run into several lockers while he was chasing Flapjack, and she knew it would be best to make sure it wasn't dislocated or anything.

"There, you're all healed." Emira said stepping back. "Thanks." Hunter said standing up to make sure he could still walk.

He walked a few steps and sighed in relief, he didn't feel wobbly or anything of the such.

"Alright, I'm ganna head to class, make sure Hunter doesn't go chasing after Flapjack again." Emira said looking at her twin while she walked out.

Hunter sighed and went to grab his notes but that's when he realized they were missing. He looked up and Edric holding the book.

"What are these notes about anyway?" He asked flipping through the pages. "Just notes about plants and poitons.." Hunter replied. He was obviously lying, he had a few notes on how to calm himself down and even a few sketches.

Edric stopped on a certain page, it was a sketch of him that Hunter had drawn. It was of him in potions class.

Edric blushed slightly at the thought that Hunter drew him.

"I didn't know you could draw." He said smiling slightly. Hunter blushed and grabbed the book form Edric. "Shut up-" Hunter said putting the book on a nearby table.

"You can draw pretty well." Edric remarked with a smile. He was happy for some reason that Hunter had drawn him.

"I picked up a few things over the years.." Hunter said ripping a page out of the book.

"Here." Hunter said handing Edric the sketch he made of him. Edric blushed slightly and took the page, smiling at the drawing.

"Thanks Goldy." He said still admiring the picture. "Are you ever ganna stop calling me that-" Hunter scoffed. "Nope." Edric replied with a smirk.
