Bonus Chapter: Diary

"A Diary? Seriously Ed?" Hunter said looking at the notebook Edric had gifted him with. "It'll be good for you to write some of your more.. sensitive feelings down! Maybe it'll make you less anxious all the time?" Edric suggested, Emira told him taking notes and writing thoughts down was a good idea. So Edric decided to get Hunter a notebook, to help him out.

"I am not using this." Hunter exclaimed tossing the book aside. Edric picked it back up and sat next to Hunter on the floor. "At least give it a try Goldy." Edric said placing the notebook in Hunter's hands.
"Fine. But only because I'm being nice!" Hunter said taking the book. Edric smiles and gave Hunter a pen, "Use this to write with." Edric said handing the pen to Hunter. Hunter scoffed but took it.

"I'll be back in an hour or two, I asked Mittens to recognize you as a part of the family. So you're free to roam around the house." Edric said standing up.

The Blights had to go to one of their sales so they would be gone for a bit. Hunter didn't mind since he had Flapjack, but he still didn't like being alone. Especially in a giant empty house.

Hunter waved goodbye to Edric as he left the secret room. Hunter didn't like the idea of  having a 'Diary', but he didn't wanna seem rude to Ed so he took it.

Hunter opened up the book and began to write.

"Dear, whatever you are.

My friend is forcing me to write in you. I care about him so that's the only reason I'm doing this.
He thought it would be a good idea for me to write my thoughts down. See if it would help me or whatever.

So here I go I guess?

I'll start simple. My name in Hunter and im The Golden Gaurd. Well I used to be, my uncle Belos, aka the emperor, has lied to me my whole life and done horrible things.

I don't know what exactly I am, but he created me. He said I looked the most like him, whoever him is. I can't use normal magic. I have to use a staff or these weird paper things called glifs that an annoying human uses.

She's and I ended up getting stuck in Belos's mind and seeing some things.

He almost killed me while we were stuck there and now he's looking for me and probably Luz as well. Luz is the human by the way.

He's been planning for this thing called the day of unity for years. And now it's only a week or so away. I'm not sure what exactly he's going to do, but it's something bad.

Everything about my life has been a lie, and it's all come crashing down on me at once. I had to live in the Hexside school for a several weeks and ended up almost starving to death.

But a person called Gus found me and helped me out. That day wasn't the best of days, the head of the illusionist coven appeared and almost tricked the kids into going a coven.

I helped get rid of them along with the rest of the school. I ended up staying for a few more days before staying with Edric, the one who gave me this book.

I don't know what it is with him. He's an idiot and a prankster, but he always seems to care.

He's the one who suggested I stay with him and he's the one who's been helping me through this all the most.

I've known his for over a week or so and he seems really annoying, but he can be nice. He's good at making potions, illustrations, and even beast keeping.

He helps me anytime I'm having a bad day, or whenever my palismen Flapjack decides to mess up my hair. He makes me feel wanted, like I have a place. He makes me feel somewhat happy I guess, I don't really know. He makes me feel, loved I guess?"

Hunter slammed the book closed after realizing he what he was writing about Edric.

"What the heck is wrong with me?!" Hunter said, yelling into a pillow. Flapjack sat next to Hunter's head and chirped.

Hunter sat up and hugged onto the pillow, starting to blush.
