~Jëššïçå Pøv~

We stared for what seemed like an eternity, only breaking our eternal trance when I realised he was coming my way. My heart pounded and I felt as if I couldn't breathe at all. He was fast at walking towards me through the mass of girls.

Before I knew it, he was stood barely an inch away.

"Mate." He breathed, his brown eyes holding love and admiration. He left me breathless. Looking closely into his eyes, I wished I could feel his emotions toward me like a normal she-wolf does. I sniffed the air, hoping to catch the faintest hint of the mate-pull scent (traditionally it being a delicious, unforgettable combination). Nothing.

I couldn't stop the saddened release of breath that escaped me. A worried look crossed his features, then hurt and total rejection. I gave a weak semi-smile and his rejection turned into determination. He reached an arm out and his fingers tucked a stray hair from my face. I could feel a blush uprising.

"Hi." He whispered, his fingers tracing from my ear to my cheek where I leaned into his palm and felt his body heat. I melted at his touch. Electricity shot between us, sparking up something fierce inside me. I felt the urge to move closer until I couldn't go any further, to touch him and keep in contact at all times.

"Hey." I whispered back, grinning.

Mate, he's mate! My wolf screamed, howling and yowling for all she's worth. His wolf loves us already, Jess! HE LOVES ME! It takes two beings to be a shifter, so shut your face. He loves us.

"I'm so happy I found you, mate." He whispered, tilting my head to look up at him with his fingers gently caressing my chin. He must be at least higher than 6 foot -surely! I battered my eyelashes and smiled up at him. He made me feel wanted, loved, calm, confident, beautiful, like I was at home.

"I'm J-"

"OH MY GOD, GUESS WHAT BOO-BEAR! I FOUND MY MATE!" Jen screamed, tackling me in a hug from out of nowhere. The warmth of my mate was replaced with an empty coldness. My wolf whimpered at the loss and so did I. I looked up at my hot mate, watching as he growled and moved to rip my best friend away but the blue-haired mohawk guy from earlier pulled her off me instead. My mate picked me up, cradling me close to him as if I were a precious valuable.

"Mine!" My mate growled, holding me closer. I looked over his face again, my eyes meeting his chocolate orbs. I grinned at him and poked my tongue out before wiggling away to my Pancake.

"That's great, Jenny! Oh my God, I met mine too! He's so cute and handsome and I think I'm in love with a Sex God." I gushed, grabbing onto Jen and having a girl moment.

"Wait, they came in together... Do you think they're in the same pack? Your mate seems really powerful, Jess. Is he a Third or a Beta!?" Jen's eyes widened and she stopped bouncing up and down.

"What if he's an Alpha?" My eyes widened too.

"No." I whispered, shaking my head. I blocked out everything and everyone around me. Omegas rarely ever find their mate, so it was amazing when mine came to me. And even if an Omega did find their true mate, they wouldn't be an Alpha. It's impossible!

My mate might be a Rouge leader, powerful by killing... But that means he'd be executed for coming onto pack territory and so would I for being his mate. I felt tears forming in my eyes but I blinked them away and looked up at my pink-haired friend.

"How much did you make? The window cost is about 200, and I made 75 because no one tips me. For God's sake, there's so many Scrooges and money Grinches!" I joked, trying to forget my mate's title and the possible death awaiting me.

"I got just over 350." Wow... Guess we know who the prettier one is. The humans could probably smell the Omega on me and thought 'No, Omegas don't deserve to have money so they can pay for some stupid thing they destroyed'.

"Hey! Don't you dare think like that! Jesus, you are so much more than just that, you are perfect in every way. Baby doll, you are amazing and you're strong. And I'm thinking, that maybe, your mate is going to keep looking over here like he's constipated until you go to him..." She giggled and I nodded, enveloping her in a hug. I felt a tear drop.

"I'm not ready to die, Pancake. So I'm going to do it. I can fake I never met him, it's common for Omegas to be alone for the rest of their short lives. Rejection isn't that hard." I mumbled, before pulling away. She looked shocked, then angry and she tried to tell me not to do it, but I'm stubborn. I'm naive and stubborn and stupid.

No, no don't do this! Please, we need mate, please Jessica! Mate, we need mate! Lotus screamed, trying to gain control of my body. I could see mate, he looked like he was about to cry. Did he hear me? I hope not, I don't want him to make it harder. I need to do this, I have to.

"I, Jessica Kilstone, Omega of RougeWolves pack, reject you as my mate."
