~Jëššïçå Pøv~
Opening my eyes, I was met with dim light and the smell of bleach. Looking around, I noticed I was on a white bed with an IV drip stabbed into my arm. I could feel a layer of sticky sweat on top of my face, coating me and making my body feel hotter than it originally was. My throat burned and I gulped down nothing but dry air trapped in my mouth. Feeling my eyelids droop heavily, I fought hard to keep them open.
"Jess?" A deep groggy voice whispered and I jumped, looking to my left at a man slumped in a chair. How had I not noticed him!? Oh no, Lotus must be weaker than I thought!
"Jess!" The man cried, springing from his chair and leaping to wrap me in his embrace. My eyebrows furrowed and I tried to remember things that happened before I woke up.
Alpha... Mate... Enemy... Book... Running... Pain.
The man pulled away, grinning like a man in love. His soft brown eyes stared into mine, holding unshed tears. I studied the rest of his face. His blonde hair was messy and had sweat beading at his hairline. Did he have a bad dream or is it too hot in here for him? I'm sweating too, so maybe it's hot in here. Hot like this man.
Felix.
"Felix?" I repeated the name Lotus whispered in my head. His eyes widened and his smile grew as he nodded. The name brought back memories, of us meeting at the crappy temporary job I had, him promising to have me one day, then the silver arrow when I whispered his name. He dragged the chair he was sat on previously closer to the bed and fell back on it. He stared at me as I adjusted myself to face him.
"Yes, mate. We have some talking to do." His voice suddenly dropped to a more serious tone as he picked up a leather bound book off the floor by his feet. I followed his movements and focused on the book. It took me a second before I recognized what it was.
"You got it!" I cried, reaching forward to snatch the book up. He grunted and I took that as a 'yes'. This book held all the names of the people my old Alpha had killed. He killed them so he could keep his immortality.
"I read it and-"
"You know now! You know he's a wicked man and he should be stripped of his title!" I growled, thinking back to the last day I'd seen him.
"Mate, shut up for a second!" Felix growled back, opening the book to a marked page. I watched as his finger stopped on the next name that hadn't been crossed out in red yet, it was the only name that was still without a line.
It was my name.
"There's a pattern, he's only been killing the royal family. See there - this was the Luna of the RoyalBlueMoon pack, she was killed for her blood. By the Alpha of your old pack. And here, that's her grandmother. Great grandfather." He started pointing up the list.
"I don't understand. They're royal? Is that it?"
"No, they possess a rare blue blood that only runs in one family, that family. He's been around since the first Werewolf was created and he's let that family breed before he figured out that he could stay immortal and indestructible by drinking their blood." Felix explained and that only confused me more.
"What does it have to do with me?"
"He believes that you are the missing daughter of Luna Rachel." He frowned and watched me for a reaction. Me, daughter of a Queen? As if, I'm an Omega! I couldn't contain myself, I burst out laughing.
"I'm an Omega, I was abandoned on his pack land and Jen cared for me." This is all funny, my ex Alpha is a blood draining slob who has lived for over a thousand years.
"Think about it... Alphas and Omegas aren't mates, it's impossible." Felix trailed off, licking his lips and darting his eyes away from mine.
"So you're saying that I'm not really an Omega?" He shook his head and I quietened down. I might not be the lowest of all ranks, I could actually have the potential to be Luna.
"Has anyone ever told you about what happened between my pack and his?" I shook my head.
"Well, I guess I'll tell you then. RoyalBlueMoon pack and my pack were allies and my parents were close to the Alpha and Luna. They were also King and Queen of our race. RogueWolves attacked them while the Queen was pregnant with their first child, fortunately she gave birth and had time to hide their daughter before the attack. The Queen was slaughtered by the RogueWolves' Alpha. The King is hidden somewhere, waiting for something - I don't know what, but he's waiting for something."
The cogs turned in my head, I think I know what he's trying to tell me... He thinks I'm the daughter of the King and Queen, which would explain my name in the book and the way Alpha almost sunk his teeth into my neck before I escaped.
"When did this happen?" I whispered, twisting the hospital bracelet on my wrist. I read my name, my birth date, the day I was emitted and stared at the little cartoon bear with a plaster on his head.
