"No! I reject that rejection!" He roared, a tear spilling from his eye. Somehow, we'd moved outside to behind the store. It was probably me when I dragged Jen away to talk to her.

"I, Felix Anton Carson, Alpha of MountainLuna pack, reject your rejection!" He grabbed me, his eyes blazing yellow. His wolf stared into my eyes, looking through to my soul -or my wolf.

I was held captive in his huge hands, being crushed against his well-built body. Then it clicked: he's the Alpha of our enemy pack. I certainly can't be his mate! Our Alpha would do anything to make Felix crumble, even if it means torturing a member of his pack -me.

"Jess, we need to go! Right now!" I heard Jen say. I turned to look at her, she was backed away from Jamie. He was the Gamma, Third in Command of the MountainLuna wolves. He looked as if his heart had been torn out of his chest and ripped in two. Our Alpha would torture Jen, too. Rejecting them would be the easiest way out, definitely. I don't want my mate to hurt over me, and I'm pretty sure Jen doesn't want Jamie hurting over her either.

"Let me go, Felix." I whispered softly to my mate, giving up with struggling against him.

"I can't be your mate -we're enemies and our Alpha would hurt us to get to you. He would risk the lives of an Omega and an Omega's associate. He wouldn't care about us, he'd care about how much he'd hurt you and Jamie. Felix, please. I'm doing this for us, accept my rejection. Please." His hands loosened and he reluctantly let me go.

"I will have you. I'm not accepting your rejection, I'm going to save you and you'll be where you should be: Luna of MountainLuna pack. Baby, I'll come for you soon, be ready." His eyes were a dark brown, no longer black but not the light brown they started off as. He and his wolf were balancing the control they had on Felix's body. I nodded.

"We need to go, Jess! Come on!" Jen seethed, her eyes focused wearily on my Alpha mate as she grabbed my arm and pulled me away from him. I looked at him and remembered his words. He's coming to get me, make me Luna of his pack, save me.

"I'll be waiting for you, mate." I whispered, watching him for as long as I could before we turned a corner. I knew he heard me, I saw his small grin. His smile made my heart skip a beat.

"Yeah, yeah! Start running or Alpha Trey will beat you." She rushed as she started running with me sprinting as fast as I could. Even as a wolf, I'm not a fast runner. But when I'm with Felix I feel stronger, like I'm able to do anything. I felt like Superman, which is ironic since I'm basically Super-inhuman; minus the 'super' part. So just inhuman.

"I want my mate." I whimpered. I want him. I need him. Why didn't I just run away with him then? Why do I have to go back to my pack? There's nothing good for me there, my future is with Felix. Honestly, we're putting ourselves in danger by going back to the pack, especially when we smell like the MountainLuna pack. People are sure to notice that. We've put a whole pack and ourselves at risk.

I made a huge mistake, can I turn back now?
