Asurea Pov, as always.

The meeting was pretty dull. A lot of talk about things I didn't know. I was mainly looking around the room. The room was pretty big, but also empty. Other than banners from what I'm guessing is the kingdom's symbol on it. Just a crown with a sword through it. Seemed somewhat tacky. But other than those, the room was just bland. I looked up to Neon, who was just standing behind me. "How much longer?" I asked quietly. He looked down at me and shook his head ever so slightly. "These last long...why don't you take a nap and I'll wake you once they finally start speaking about something that concerns you?" I nodded. To be honest, I did not get a great sleep last night (due to obvious reasons.) and I would've fallen asleep either way. I let my heavy eyelids close and got at least a little comfortable.

I opened my eyes and wasn't in the meeting room any more. I looked around but was seemingly in a black void of nothingness. Suddenly, a spotlight turned on in the distance. A figure stood there. I started making my way to them, my eyes still adjusting to the darkness. I walked into the spotlight, the figure still just standing there. I let out my hand to touch the figure, but the figure disappeared. I looked around, now being in the light of the spotlight. Another light came out of the darkness, where four figures stood. I sighed and walked towards them, thoughts banging against my skull. I finally made it to them, realizing this was a cell. I opened the cell door, it creaking slowly. I walked into the cell, the spotlight shining. I walked up to the one I was closest to, a bag covered their head. I grabbed the bag on their head and slowly lifted it off. I dropped the bag and stepped back. The person chained up was...me. I was just...so confused. I felt the ground slip out of under me and I started falling. I opened my mouth to scream but nothing came out. Suddenly, I felt something get ripped off around my head. Light gleamed into my eyes, blinding me. My eyes adjusted and I looked around Frantically. There seemed to be crowds everywhere. I tried to stand up but something held me down. I looked to see that I was chained to a pole. I struggled, trying to rip free from the chains. I looked to my sides, and more people with bags on their heads were also chained up. Well continuing to struggle out of the chains, I saw a shadow loom over me. I looked up to see an executioner standing there, holding an axe. I felt a bead of sweat fall down my face as I continued to struggle in the chains. I watched as the axe came towards my face. Then, I woke up.

(I don't like dream sequences.)

I instantly stood from my chair, sweat running down my face. I then remembered where I was. I quietly sat down, everyone looking at me. One of the people spoke up, seemingly a queen of a nearby kingdom. "My apologies, Arison, but why is she here?" Arison nods. "As you all were aware, we've lost all contact with Ruful town. According to the young lady here, Their new king issued a genocide on monster/hybrid kind." A few gasps, then lots of whispering. Arison cleared his throat. "I know this is a shock to you all, but do not worry. They seemingly have yet to adventure out to other kingdoms." He said while looking at two empty chairs. "But who knows until they might start!" Yelled another person. Arison, once again, nodded. "That is why I've gotten a plan to invade their kingdom. I've been setting up a strike team to go in and take care of their king. Of course, this plan won't be executed for another few days, but we will stop them before they can start." I saw a couple of nods of approval, but mostly just more whispering. "That doesn't explain why she is here." Said the same Queen. "Well of course it does. She's from Ruful town and she will be a key part of the plan! She will know the ways around the town and therefore know the nooks and crannies of every corner and alleyway." I felt millions of eyes turn to look at me. "And are they human? For all we know they could be a spy." A lot of whispers after that. "No no, they are a hybrid. They barely escaped from Ruful town and made it here to warn us." More whispering. God the whispering... it was louder than anyone yelling it. Neon spoke up from behind me. "Sire, I think I should take Asurea now. It's getting quite late." Arison stared at Neon for a bit, then sighed. "Yes yes, I suppose that would be in our best interests. Take her away to her room." Neon nodded and pulls my chair away from the table. "Let us go then."

I nodded and stood up, grabbing Neon's hand. We walked outside and over to the hotel. "Why did you do that?" I asked, looking up to the sky. It wasn't even that dark out. "Because I could tell you were distressed about something. The whispering?" He asked as if he has some kind of all-seeing eye. "Mhm..." I said while nodding. Neon nodded. "Yeah... the whispering does get louder than words themselves. You do get used to it." I nodded. Neon opened the hotel door. "After you." I walked through the door, Neon following. We started walking up the stairs. We made it to my room's door. I stared at the door. "...Neon?" "Yes, Asurea?" I looked down at the ground. "...I... I don't want to go back." Neon stared at me for a moment, then he kneeled down. "I understand that feeling... more than you could imagine. But you need to stay strong if you want to bring the people who caused the destruction of your home to justice." I nodded, feeling Neon's arms wrap around me. We stayed like this for a few moments, before he stood up. "I must be going now, Asurea. I'll see you tomorrow."

I looked up at him. "Of course, you will, I'm the centre of your life," I said while smirking. Neon chuckled. "It's the truth." He walked down the hall and opened the door to the stairs. I opened the door to my room and walked in, feeling much, much better.
