This is something that a lot of people struggle with.
When something traumatic has happened to you in the past it becomes very difficult to move past it and "move on". In reality you can't really avoid it. Facing it head on is even more scarier. So then what do you do to heal from all of it. Some say you can take a few days off just to meditate, pray or just speak to a close friend or maybe even see a therapist.
One thing I believe is that it takes time and it can't happen overnight. For sure.
Okay maybe we are sidetracking a bit. The real question is. What if you have tried all of these things? Then what? Where do you go from there? It seems like no one is able to answer that question. Why? Because people always have a solution for every given problem. Even life changing problems. Mental problems.
What if its not possible to let go? Then you just learn to live with it? But for how long? If someone knows please let us know and stop lying. It does not "get better", you do not "learn to live with it" and admit that these coping mechanisms just distract you from the fact that you have not healed from your past traumas but hoping that by praying or meditating that you're healing.
