Sometimes, it is very easy to hurt other people's feelings because in the moment you're so hurt and you feel like you should return the favor. No one talks about how mentally unstable people don't take accountability for their actions. For example if i'm arguing with someone and I say hurtful things to them, later on I could make an excuse and just say "oh no I was having an episode and I wasn't really sure of what I was saying". Knowing very well that even in the heated moment there really is no reason to say hurtful things, So then what does that mean? That everytime there is an argument that I will use that very same excuse?
People get tired of the same apology with no change. At some point you have to stop being a bad person and stop using your depression or whatever else you're diagnosed with as an excuse. It does not give you the right to hurt others and potentially losing them when you could just express how you feel in that moment in the right way. Yes I know its easy for your anger to be on a 100, because at times you feel things very intensely compared to a mentally stable person.
This does not happen overnight of course but work on it. In some cases if you really feel like you are going to flip out. Kindly tell the person that you need some time to relax and reflect. Then go back and try again.
