Niall Horan's flight landed 2 hours behind schedule and he hurried off so he could see his best friend quicker. They haven't personally seen each other in almost half a year and to him, that was too long.

"Ni!"

His head snapped in her direction and a huge grin plastered on his face.

"Lani!"

He dropped his bags and caught her in his arms as she wrapped her legs around his torso and arms around his neck. He spun them around and laughed.

"Oh babe, I missed you."

He kissed the side of her head as she nuzzled her face into his neck.

"5 months. Are you joking me?" Alana pulled her head back and looked at him.

"Come on, it wasn't that bad." He teased her and kissed her nose. The two best friends usually lived together for many weeks throughout the year, so it felt very wrong to be apart from each other for long periods of time.

"It sure was." She climbed off of him and grabbed his suit case while he grabbed the duffel bag. "What am I supposed to do without my daily dose of happiness?"

"But we always talk. FaceTime and all. So I'm basically still here." Niall eyed some paparazzi and steered them away from their direction.

"Yeah except that one time you forgot to text back and I ended up talking with a complete stranger." She pouted as he laughed and patted her head.

"But you made a new friend. How is Eddie by the way?"

"He's doing fine."

It didn't go unnoticed by Niall how her cheeks slightly turned pink and he grinned.

"How long have you two been talking now?"

They reached her awaiting car outside and her bodyguard, Frank, took the bags and loaded them in the boot of the car before quickly getting them to go inside the vehicle, because there were many flashing cameras.

"Thanks Frank, and we've been talking for...2 months now, I think?"

"And he still hasn't asked to see your face?"

"Oh he has, once or twice, but we both like the secrecy too much to actually reveal who we are."

They got in and Frank drove to her house.

"What if he's a psychopath?"

"He's not."

But what if he is? She thought to herself.

Alana quickly pulled out her phone.

Alana

Are you a psychopath?

Eddie

I'd like to say no, but a psychopath wouldn't know that he's a psychopath

Alana

So you are?

Eddie

I'm not

Alana

but you might be

Eddie

I'm not, why ask?

Alana

My friend thinks you're a psychopath

Eddie

You talk about me?

Alana

What's that? You need me? Oh, okay! I gtg someone needs me

bye!

Eddie

_______

Tony grinned at the thought.

"He's not a psychopath. He just said so." Alana showed Niall the text.

"That's exactly what a psychopath would say."

"I think a psychopath would actually ignore that text, like you ignored mine."

"Ouch, I'm never going to live down not texting you back , ever, am I?"

"Don't think so bud." Frank said from the front and they all laughed.

When they reached her house, she left Niall to go to his own room and have a shower before unpacking.

She pulled out two bowls and various cereals for Niall to choose from when he was done with everything and she got a text.

Eddie

So how often do you speak about me 😏

Alana

I don't

Eddie

You clearly do

Alana

Nope

Eddie

Whatever helps you sleep at night sweetheart.

Alana

Usually a cup of warm tea can do the trick, but okay

Eddie

I can be your cup of tea

...

Alana
