Prologue pt. 3

Not much to say except I'm hyped on about 375mg of caffeine right now😬. Guess I'll just get right into it.

2 Years Later

"Please?"

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

"C'mon...PLEEEEEEEASE?" asked the pink headed girl.

The young man she was with stared at her with a deadpanned look on his face.

Y/N: "Dammit, Stars, you've already had 3 meat buns! How on earth are you still hungry?"

Itsuki: "I can't help it! The meat buns from this place are just soooo good~!"

The young pair were currently enjoying a Saturday out on the town together, a pasttime the two of them made sure to do their best to dedicate at least 1 day out of the week to. A "friend date", as they referred to it. This particular Saturday had the two at their favorite food shop not too far from their apartment complex; the same meat bun shop that Y/N had come to the day his took a crazy turn.

Ever since Itsuki and her family had moved in next door, life had been...eventful for the young man, to put it lightly. Y/N still swore to this day that he suffered permanent hearing loss due to the ear piercing scream the girl let out when she realized that her new favorite person in the world was her next door neighbor.

Flashback

The boy's ears were still ringing when he suddenly felt himself being yanked into a bone crushing hug.

Y/N: "ACK!"

Itsuki: "OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH! IT'S YOU! IT'S REALLY YOU!"

Y/N managed to free himself from her grasp. *Gasps for air* "Yes! Yes it's really me...geez...what are you doing here?"

Itsuki beamed. "I live here silly! We just moved in!"

Y/N eyes were the size of saucer plates. "Wait...you mean...YOU'RE my new next-door neighbor?!"

The young girl nodded excitedly. " that's why we had to leave the hotel a day before you guys did. We were actually supposed to leave on the same day but mama told us we had to get home and get our stuff packed so we could move into our new apartment today. When we were heading home, I held on to my lucky charm and made a prayer that I would one day get to see you again...and my prayer was answered!"

Y/N could see the tears beginning to well up in her eyes. "Eh...? But...why are you crying then??"

Itsuki wiped her eyes as she giggled while more tears began to flow. "You big dummy...these are happy tears...not only do I get to see my best friend again, I get to LIVE next door to my best friend...it's like a dream come true..." She then stepped forward and wrapped him in another, yet far more gentle and loving embrace and cried into his shoulder. Y/N was caught off guard at first but slowly returned the embrace. After all, he'd be lying if he said he didn't miss her as well. "Heh...I missed you too, Stars..."

Unfortunately, their tender moment was interrupted by a sharp tone piercing the air around them.

???: "HEY! Get your hands off of my sister, you creep!"

The two looked up from their embrace to see yet another clone of the girl he was holding. This one, however, missing the soft gentle smile of the girl he was currently embracing, replaced with a look of anger and disgust and her hair adorned with what Y/N recognized as the butterfly hairclips that Itsuki had purchase from the gift shop for one of her sisters. 'I'm guessing this one liked the butterfly clips' he thought. (Thank you, Captain Obvious)
