And at long last, I'm back with another chapter.
My sincerest apologies about taking so long to get this one out. As I mentioned in the Christmas side chapter, I ran into writer's block and was unable to continue any further. Fortunately, my idea tank hadn't run out completely and I was able to get the Christmas chapter up and going. And it managed to get my idea tank churning again for chapter 24 so now I feel comfortable enough to get back to it. Plus, I have several pages of notes on how to finish up this first act of my story so once I managed to cross this bridge of chapter 24, I really feel like writing the rest is going to be a breeze....I hope...We'll see how much motivation I can generate after this chapter gets posted.
Last chapter was an unfortunate turn of events for our MC so let's see how he handles it. The camping trip continues!
P.S: I hope you all enjoyed your holidays!!

On the Bus
Throughout his years, Y/N had learned a lot about himself, both good things and bad things, as most people do. But also as most people do, he used those experiences to better himself and become the strong, outgoing type who never cracked under pressure. He strived to be someone that everyone could rely on and was known to be beyond dependable. He was incredibly smart, pulling not just the second highest grades in the entire school, but some of the highest grades in the entire Tri-Province area. Just to name a few positives that weren't the fact that he was probably the best baseball player in the country.
But, despite his best efforts, the young man was far from perfect. And he accepted that. He knew that the pros of life weren't without their cons as well: at some point of growing up, he also learned that he had developed an abnormally large temper. Something that he attributed to the lack of parents who actually cared as he was growing up and losing some of the most important people in his life so quickly after one of the biggest tragedies of his life.
He had ended up taking those heavy emotions and bottling it all away due to the fact that he never really had a proper outlet for the pent up rage. It had ended up having a really negative impact on his life, and almost cost him a spot on his baseball team at one point. After that close call, he had ended up seeking help for it, finally managing to come to terms with the fact that it was something that he was going to have to learn to manage. And up until now, he had done a great job at doing so.
But unfortunately, he was dealing with a great amount of rage at this very moment, and was having immense difficulty channeling it properly. And because of this, he wound up learning something new about himself this morning...
He was the "jealous" type...
Case in point: He was now currently on the bus with the rest of his classmates, sitting next to the window seat. He looked over to his right and saw the youngest quintuplet with the aisle seat, head turned away from him and happily conversing with a supposed childhood friend of hers whom he had no idea existed until just a couple hours prior.
This 'friend' belonged to a different school and had come on a different bus, but due to the fact that both schools were heading to the same camping location, both school's staff members saw it as an opportunity for students to form new bonds and get to know one another. And so, they announced that the buses wouldn't be school exclusive and the students who were from different schools were encouraged to integrate with each other on the buses. Unfortunately for Y/N, that meant that this 'friend' of Itsuki's was free to join them on the bus he was riding on, as well as Fuutarou and the quintuplets.
