No. I am not dead. I've just been taking a really long siesta...
A really, really long one...
*Ahem*...Anyway...here we are. At the end of a long journey. And before anyone freaks out: no this is not the end of the story. This is only the end of the first act. We still have a looooooooong way to go toward the end of the story. And I should probably address the elephant in the room before anything else, and not save it for the ending note:
I wholeheartedly apologize for this chapter taking so long to get out. After my last chapter, I had actually churned out a good 13K words in about a week before burnout hit me massively and I just stopped work on this book abruptly. I ended up going over to my other story and posting a chapter from there but burn out hit me on that one as well. And then some other things in my personal life started to come up which really affected both my time and motivation to write and soon, I just stopped writing entirely.
Fortunately, I've managed to get a bit of motivation back and have manage to get a bit of my writing groove back. I'm not going to push myself as hard as I did before and just write as I feel like it. Hopefully that new method of approaching this will allow me to type out more words consistently and not burn myself out so quickly.
Anyway, I'll leave it at that for now and I'll save the rest of the mumbo jumbo for the ending author's note (of the next chapter, considering the fact that I ended up splitting this chapter in half 😅). I think I've kept this act going long enough. Enjoy the chapter, and thank you for riding with me through all of this 💙Can't wait to start season 2 after this! Or at least my own spin of it, anyway.
