Chapter 17 - Heated

"I imagine it is hard being here," Lan Zhan said, finally trying to get him to talk.

It has been about two days since the golden core reveal. He was doing better but at the same time, he wasn't.

Wei Ying looked at Lan Zhan and nodded, "I stopped calling this place home the day the massacre happened. Maybe a bit sooner. I don't know when exactly...now that I think it through more, I'm not sure if I ever considered it home. Shijie was the only reason I found some comfort here...but she is no longer here...so," tears were forming in his eyes, "Lan Zhan, will this guilt ever go away?"

Lan Zhan looked into the eyes of his soulmate. He saw pain, sorrow, guilt, and loneliness. He has blamed himself all these years for the massacre of Lotus Pier, as well as others pointing him guilty. He had no right to be blamed. He was punished for saving Lan Zhan's life, fighting against Wen Chao, and killing Xuanwu. All those were not reasons to punish someone, but to reward them. Now, any good thing Wei Ying does, he gains some sort of guilt or reason to put blame on himself.

"Wei Ying, when are you going to realize it is not your fault for what happened? You stood up against Wen Chao to save other lives, you saved my life, you even helped me kill Xuanwu. Those are merits that deserve recognition. Yet you were beaten by Zidian, and thrown around. You still saved your siblings to the best of your abilities. You even gave up your cultivation for them. If that should be something to be guilty over, then others need to be blamed first. You did nothing wrong...if anything, you have been wronged and the world owes you an apology. Not the other way around," Lan Zhan explained, "they started to see the truth but now it's time for you to rebuke your strength. I am here for you and to help you through this."

Wei Ying listened to the entirety of Lan Zhan's words, and there was a lot of them. He had never heard Lan Zhan speak so much at once before. It actually shocked him a bit. Wei Ying managed a nod to his words as he tried to recover from Lan Zhan speaking so much.

Lan Zhan moved to sit beside him, "I love you, Wei Ying," he said.

In response, Wei Ying launched himself forward to Lan Zhan. His right hand on the back of his neck, and his left planted on Lan Zhan's face. His lips land on Lan Zhan's. The kiss was rough and hungry, he just devoured Lan Zhan's lips, nibbling and sucking them, tasting the sweetness from the tea he had been drinking. Lan Zhan held him tightly, consuming every last taste of him on his lips. His hands were starting to wander, one on either side of Wei Ying, and slowly moved from his ribs and slid down to his lower back.

Dropping them below his buttocks, he squeezed his hands, kneading his butt over his robes. Wei Ying moaned into Lan Zhan's mouth, and jerked his hips forward cause his groin to push against Lan Zhan's. Lan Zhan groaned at the feeling, as he felt himself start to get hard. Wei Ying could feel his hardness which caused him to harden himself.

"I...want you..Lan Zhan...please," Wei Ying said breaking from the kiss only for a moment, panting between words.

Lan Zhan responded by wrapping Wei Ying's legs around his waist and stood up going for the bed. As the crashed down, Lan Zhan on top, his lips went back with Wei Ying's, as he pushed his body onto Wei Ying, rubbing himself against him. Wei Ying moaned again, only louder this time.

"Privacy...charm," Wei Ying said as Lan Zhan latched his lips to his neck.

Lan Zhan didn't respond as he was lost in Wei Ying's neck, kissing, licking, nibbling, and sucking. Wei Ying sighed of pleasure as he flicked his hand to toss privacy talismans around the room. Wei Ying pushed his hips up against Lan Zhan, causing a groan to escape his throat. Lan Zhan lifted his head up only to confirm again that this is what Wei Ying wants.
