Daisy/Skye POV

“Wait, wait, wait! You’re going back to working with your old team! Are you crazy?”

“I don’t have much choice in the matter, Fury made a good point, they need someone with my abilities, and since there is no one else, I’m the only one that can do this.”

“Still, this is crazy.”

“If Daisy feels that she can do this, then we have to trust that she can. And we will be right by her side if needed.”

Remembering the conversation that had gone down not that long ago in her mind, Daisy leans towards the MC behind her. She knew they would react in a way like that, at least Peggy was the voice of reason. Even if it looked like she would faint when she saw what she and Tony had been working on. Smiling at the memory, she checks the time. Seeing that she should be heading down to the meeting point, she puts on the helmet once more.

Reaching the lab, she sees that she is late, Coulson’s team has somehow managed to end up in trouble already and she rolls her eyes. She should have known; trouble follows their every move after all. Parking the mc beside the SUV’s she remembers from the BUS, Daisy takes a deep breath as she removes the helmet and puts on the glasses. She can feel how the Nano Mask takes form on her face and she smiles.

Moving slowly and soundless towards the front doors of the compound, her eyes lands on the guards. With a quick look, she can see the sign, they were injected with the centipede serum, at least it looks to be more stable now than before. If this had been before, if she had stayed with Coulson and the others, Daisy is sure she would be worried and scared. Now, with everything that has happened to her and the training she has received, she knows she can go in there and come out on top.

With a deep breath, she calms herself, remembering everything the Avengers have shown her. Opening her eyes once more, she lifts her arms, pointing them towards the guards, sending out a strong shockwave, knocking them out in one swift attack. Smiling, Daisy starts to head for the front doors, hopping that it would be a smooth going from there. She wasn’t that lucky, the moment Daisy steps through the doors, she gets shoot at.

Ducking down behind a wall, she takes in a deep breath to calm herself once more. With a careful look around the corner she counts at least 4 super soldiers.

“Well then, seems like we are doing this the hard way then.”

She comments to herself, counting the bullets that is being fired her way. Finding the time to move, she stops out from the corner, moving fast, she sends one after another of the super soldiers to their sleep. Finding that one is blocking one of the doors further down the hallway, Daisy starts to wonder what he is hiding. Moving soundlessly up behind him, she knocks the larger man out. Stepping into the room, she comes to a stop as a gun is being pointed towards her.

She made the mistake of not checking the room before entering. She can hear Natasha and Peggy pointing out that she has put herself in this spot and she will have to figure out a way herself.

“Who are you?”

A female voice asks, realising she knows who the voice belongs to, Daisy slowly turn her head. Looking over the barrel of the gun, her eyes lands on agent Melinda May. Keeping her cool, Daisy tells herself she has nothing to worry about, the masked Tony created will make it, so they do not recognise her.

“You.”

Hearing May say this, lowering the gun at the same time, Daisy knows she has been made, in one way or another. Hearing how more soldiers are on their way to their location, she turns, leaving the room once more. She can deal with how May think she knows her later. Right now, she needs to make sure they can get out of this building without any problems.

Taking out every soldier that is coming her way, Daisy ends up face to face with a much larger man than she has seen before. And for being as big as he is, the super soldier moves a lot faster than the others, reminding her of how fast Peggy is. Which is giving her a harder time then she thought would be possible. She’s off her game, normally she would be able to keep up with Peggy. In a moment of weakness, she is being through the room, hitting the wall.

As she falls to the floor, she can see May entering the room, she is also sure that the woman says her name, or at least the name she used to have. With a few heavy breaths, she sees how May pulls her own gun, pointing it towards the super solider. Every shoot hit, it’s not enough to take the large man down and he keeps walking towards her. Seeing how May is in danger, she lifts her arms, with a deep breath, she sends out another strong pulse of energy.

Seeing how the man goes down this time around, she smiles. Slowly moving to stand up, she can feel how her whole body is aching.

“That is going to leave a mark.”

Daisy comments, moving her arms slightly. The gauntlets Tony made her, they help control her powers and make sure she doesn’t hurt herself in the progress, doesn’t mean it still hurts.

“I don’t think that’s the only thing that is going to hurt on you, Skye.”

She hears May comment, and she looks down, seeing that she is covered in blood. Shaking her head slightly, she realises what May just called her. Turning her attention towards May, she steels herself.

“I have no idea of who you are talking about, I’m agent Daisy Johnson.”

She tells the other agent, pulling out her badge and holds it up so May can read it.

“Nice try. I know it’s you Skye, or should I call you Mary-Sue?”

Hearing the name the nuns gave her as a child, Daisy lowers her head slightly. She has always hated that name, and have time and time again tried to get rid of it. Hearing May call her by that name makes her feel slightly uncomfortable.

“You… You read to the end?”

She asks, knowing the answer already since May did say Mary-Sue. She didn’t expect her to, not after how angry she had been and everything that has happened afterwards.

“I did but come on. We should head for the bus; there we can make sure you are alright, and we can go over everything that has happened.”

May informs her and Daisy nods her head, she doesn’t move, however.

“The others, do they know?”

She asks, worried that May might have told them everything. Something deep down tells her however that she shouldn’t worry about that, the reason why she gave May the letter in the first place is because she trusts the woman to keep a secret.

“I decided that if you wanted the others to know, you would have told them yourself. Now we can talk about that to when we get back to the BUS, Simmons needs to look you over.”

“I’ll come with you to the BUS, but there is no way I will let Simmons near me. I can take care of my wounds myself.”

Daisy tells her, slowly and steady heading for the hallway once more.

“Either you let me look you over or Simmons.”

May points out as she follows her, rolling her eyes, Daisy knows there is no wining this.

“Fine, you can take a look. I’m telling you, I’m fine.”
