Today was the Yule ball.

I was meeting up with Alyssa, Aurora, and Hermione to do our hair and makeup a few hours before it started, but I was feeling under the weather - and Harry was starting to notice.

We were in the Great Hall, and lunch had just began so the food wasnt set on the tables yet, but just the idea of eating made me feel sick to my stomach.

"Are you alright? You look a little green," Said Harry. I scoffed and said, "Why thank you, Harry. That makes me feel so attractive," in a sarcastic tone.

"I- but- You know I didn't mean it like that," Harry said, making me chuckle. "I'm just messing with you, don't worry."

Mountains of food appeared on the tables, and most of the kids started immediately started to grab it and scarf it down like their life depended on it.

The smell of chicken, potatoes, and corn filled my nose and I held in a gag. Not to mention, Ron was sitting directly across from me, and just watching him eat his so-called meal was sickening.

My face disfigured in disgust as Ron got mashed potatoes on the outside of his mouth, then seconds later ate berries of sorts and got it stuck to the potatoes.

"You're disgusting, Ronald," Hermione scolded from my side, making me giggle. "You look like my old cat, Muffins." I began to laugh even more.

"I don't like cats," he muttered, glaring at Hermione. "Sent from the devil, they are."

Hermione scoffed, closing her textbook dramatically. "Just because Crookshanks causes some.. problems every now and then does not mean she's a beast!" She raises her voice, obviously getting angry.

"Whatever you say," he said, before licking around his lips in attempt to clean his face off.

"Come on, Lil. Eat something!" Hermione pleads, and I groan. "But I don't want to. I feel gross." Harry snickered from beside me, and I looked over at him.

"What?"

"Did you forget? You always carry potions in your bag. Just use one of them."

Realization  punched  me  straight  in  the  face. He was correct. "Oh my god," I said, "You're right! I have some anti-nausea potions in my bag. Thank you for reminding me, Harry!" I kissed him on the cheek out of instinct, then  fear took over me.

Hermione and Ron laughed, they thought this was amusing?

"Godric, Lil. You  act  like Harry is your most prized possession sometimes," Hermione  giggles. Relief flushed over my body: They thought I did it in a "funny" way, not as in a "lovey" way.

Me and Harry laughed along  with  them, but Ron's look changed  into  sudden  suspicion.

"So, what're you two doing for the ball? Who're your dates?" I asked Harry and Ron, trying to change the subject.

"Padma Patil," says Ron. "Parvati Patil," said Harry right after. "They've been obsessed with Harry for months, so we thought they may have wanted to go," explained Ron.

An odd feeling pierced through my veins. What do you mean, obsessed? Do they fancy-? Of course they do. He's the bloody chosen one for Merlin's sake.

"Mmm," I hummed in acknowledgement. I could feel Harry's eyes at me, I know he would want to talk later.

Suddenly, a happy-looking Theodore Nott rushed over to me. "Liliana? Do you have a moment?" He asked, and I nodded my head. I stood from the bench, and said a farewell to my friends.

"What is it you need?" I ask in a polite tone, as he begins walking to the Slytherin table. "Well.. I just needed to tell you that, your brother, he knows I'm going with you and.. he's not that happy. Just please, try to ignore him tonight?" He explained.
